AgentAwake 1.0.5
AgentAwake 1.0.5
Fixes for the CPU-average fan curve.
- Intel Macs are back on their earlier fan curves. On Intel the CPU average runs close to the hottest spot, so 1.0.4's lower curves ran the fans much faster than intended.
- Custom curves you drew on Apple Silicon move up to 15 °C lower, once, keeping their shape, so they suit the CPU average they now follow. Untouched default curves become the new default. If you redrew your curve in 1.0.4, check it in Edit fan curve…: it moved too, so the fans start earlier.
- When the full-speed rule is on, Cooling says "hottest spot above 95 °C", and the curve window shows full speed until the hottest spot cools below 92 °C, as the fans do.
- When no CPU average is available, the temperature is labelled hottest spot rather than CPU avg (red from 90 °C), and the fan curve allows for the difference.
- The curve window uses the same readings as the panel and shows what the fan service is really doing: its speed while slowing down, the lid-closed minimum, or macOS automatic.
If you already have 1.0.2 or later, the helper updates by itself: no password.

AgentAwake 1.0.4
Fans follow the CPU average.
- The fan curve now follows CPU avg, the average of the CPU core sensors, instead of the single hottest sensor. It moves more smoothly, so the fans no longer chase one busy core.
- The presets move 15 °C lower to match: Balanced 50–75 °C, Cool 40–67 °C, Quiet 65–85 °C.
- The hottest spot still guards the chip: at 95 °C every fan runs at full speed, whatever the curve says.
- Cooling shows CPU avg as the big number, with the hottest spot under it.
- A Custom curve you drew yourself is kept as drawn; it now reads the CPU average, which runs about 15–20 °C below the hottest spot under load.
If you already have 1.0.2 or later, the helper updates by itself: no password.

Clearer temperatures.
- The big number in Cooling is now labelled hottest spot: the hottest of the dozens of sensors on the chip, which is what the fans react to. It reads 5–10 °C above the per-core figures other apps show.
- Under it, CPU avg shows the average of the CPU sensors, for comparing with other temperature apps.
- The temperature turns red only from 90 °C, close to full fan speed, rather than whenever another app controls the fans.
If you already have 1.0.2, the helper updates by itself: no password.
AgentAwake 1.0.2
AgentAwake 1.0.2
Updates finish by themselves.
- From now on, AgentAwake updates its helper on its own after each app update, with no password. Before, an update could leave the old helper running, so fan control kept using old code; after 1.0.1 that meant the temperature shown could be 20–40 °C lower than the real one.
- If the helper is still out of date, the panel now says so, and the Cooling section shows the real temperature in the meantime.
This update asks for your password one last time, to install the helper that can update itself.
AgentAwake 1.0.1
AgentAwake 1.0.1
Cooler and lighter.
- AgentAwake itself now uses almost no processor time in the background. With several agents working, it used to take about a fifth of a core to animate a panel nobody could see.
- Fan control now watches the hottest CPU cores. On Apple Silicon it used to read only the averaged chip sensors, which can stay 20 °C cooler than the busiest cores, so the fans often stayed slow while the Mac got hot.
- New fan profiles to match: Balanced starts the fans at 65 °C and reaches full speed at 90 °C, Cool first 55–82 °C, Quiet 80–100 °C. At 95 °C or more every fan runs at full speed.
- If you use Custom and never changed its points, they move to the new default. Points you drew yourself are kept; check them in Edit fan curve…, as the temperature shown is now higher.

AgentAwake 1.0.0
AgentAwake 1.0.0
Thank you for testing the beta. From 1.0.0, AgentAwake has a 14-day free trial, then costs $9.99 a year for up to 3 Macs. Buy it from the menu; your Mac activates by itself.
- Keeps your Mac awake, even with the lid closed, while Claude Code, Codex, opencode and other AI agents work.
- Lets it sleep again after a short grace period once they finish.
- New: optionally tells you, with a sound of your choice, when your agents have finished.
- Stops at your battery floor and when the Mac runs too hot.
- Fan control keeps long agent runs cool.
- Checks for updates once a day and asks before installing.
Updating asks for your password once, to update AgentAwake's helper.
