AlphaCut v1.6.14
Evaluate the cutout before you export it. This release gives the preview more room, keeps processing actions visible in smaller windows and replaces a broken embedded icon with the reviewed cut-plane mark.
- Image mode labels its output as PNG and hides video-only options. Secondary labels and arrows are easier to read.
- Windows packaging now includes the full model registry and locale template. DLL discovery is isolated from unrelated tools on the build machine.
- Startup reports missing dependencies without installing or removing packages. Exact command-line model names take priority; ambiguous choices fail before processing.
- The README has real installed-app screenshots, direct downloads and export guidance. Both logo concepts, their prompts, the original files and all review attempts are saved in the repository.
Downloads
Use AlphaCut-Setup-1.6.14.exe for installation. AlphaCut-portable-v1.6.14.zip includes the same executable with its guide and notices; AlphaCut-windows.exe is the single-file app.
The Windows build uses CPU inference and doesn't need Python. Install FFmpeg separately for video. Models download on first use. The executable and installer are unsigned, so Windows may show an unknown-publisher warning. Check the download against SHA256SUMS.txt.
AlphaCut-source-v1.6.14.zip contains the release source. AlphaCut-dependency-sources-v1.6.14.zip includes matching upstream sources, license notices and rebuild instructions. The original application source is MIT licensed; the combined Windows distribution includes GPLv3 PyQt6 and separately licensed dependencies.
Checked locally
All 110 tests pass. The exact portable and installed executables completed real U2Net preview and full-resolution RGBA export. Two silent installation/review/uninstallation cycles passed without replacing an existing installation. A six-frame generated video fixture passed the real inference and alpha-frame export path. The 47-package environment check found no known advisories at review time.
The short generated fixture does not establish long-video quality. GPU profiles, Docker and non-Windows installation remain unverified. Screenshot acceptance used a private desktop with offscreen Qt rendering; native pickers, the tray and startup updates weren't exercised by that harness.
