AmazonEnhanced v2.0.18
Start with AmazonEnhanced-v2.0.18-release.zip for Chrome or Edge. Extract it to a permanent folder, enable Developer mode in the browser's Extensions page, then choose Load unpacked. Keep the extracted folder after installation.
Changes
- New product-led README with actual installed-extension screenshots, direct downloads and a guide to all ten settings sections.
- Price history now has a readable single-column sidebar, saved-theme support and clear observation labels. Currency isn't stored; compare within one marketplace.
- Seller-name warnings and ingredient-watchlist guidance no longer imply guarantees. The guide explains the Cart helpers that start enabled.
- Browser verification selects AmazonEnhanced by its installed manifest. Current Firefox testing uses a fresh, headless development session.
- All browser packages include the project license. Readable release source is retained, missing inputs stop packaging and a missing signing key cannot silently create a new extension identity.
The existing shield icon remains selected. Original files, failed attempts and final visual reviews are preserved in the concept archive.
Downloads
The release ZIP is the primary manual Chrome/Edge install. The Edge ZIP is an alternate package. The signed CRX is for compatible self-host or managed tools, not the recommended drag-and-drop route. The Firefox XPI is unsigned and for temporary development testing, not a permanent Firefox end-user install.
The source ZIP includes the complete source and concept archive. SHA256SUMS.txt covers all five ZIP/CRX/XPI downloads.
Local verification
104 JavaScript tests and six package tests passed. Installed Chromium and Microsoft Edge verified 27 managed network rules, ten settings sections, sidebar layout and eight blocked ad probes. Temporary Firefox XPI testing passed its search/product paths, settings and network checks. The CRX signature was verified against the previous release's identity, and each browser package contains 53 checked files.
Screenshots use the actual extension in a clean, headless profile. Page checks use synthetic fixtures, not a signed-in shopping account. Live checkout, real-account exports/imports, OpenCorporates credentials and browser-store publication are not claimed as tested.
