Cataclysm v0.10.3
Source-aware result stories and redesigned workspace
- Reimagines the desktop shell, scenario library, results rail, transport, and dark/light themes around a calmer mission-control layout.
- Adds Outcome, Science, and Validation result views with named-place arrival and reach storytelling.
- Connects selected coastal outcomes to labeled globe markers and modeled time.
- Replaces exact-looking direct-hazard consequence counts with explicit display bands and assumptions.
- Refreshes deterministic README and visual-regression screenshots.
- Fixes WebGL recovery controls being obscured by viewport chrome.
Windows installers are locally built and currently unsigned; verify them with the attached SHA256 checksums.
Cataclysm v0.10.2
Hardens the desktop trust and release boundary: explicit main-window permissions for every custom Tauri command, fail-safe mandatory safety guidance when settings persistence is unavailable, and bounded reference capture with atomic progress and full child-process cleanup. Local strict verification passed the 24-scene 1440p/4K matrix, complete Rust feature matrix, browser suite, audits, and packaged GPU probe. Windows installers remain unsigned until the configured code-signing credentials are available.
Cataclysm v0.10.0
Cataclysm now opens in a progressively disclosed simulator workspace. Simple keeps the scenario, live globe, Run & Watch journey, timeline, and outcomes dominant. Customize reveals a small understandable control set. Advanced exposes exact grids, gauges, model confidence, physical parameters, and scientific diagnostics. Custom-source editors appear only after Create my own or Edit, and switching detail levels preserves selected scenarios, inputs, and computed fields. Built locally with the GPU feature and verified across 307 unit tests, 52 browser journeys, 12 desktop visual baselines, 124 Rust release tests, 24 locked 1440p/4K reference scenes, accessibility, audit, protocol, provenance, and packaging gates. Windows installers are currently unsigned and may show an unknown-publisher warning.
Cataclysm v0.9.1
Run & Watch is now a guided Prepare, Calculate, Watch, and Understand journey. Outcomes open automatically, cached results replay immediately, manual controls remain available, solver failures provide local retry, and the persistent transport is the single tsunami playhead. Built locally with the GPU feature and verified across unit, browser, visual, accessibility, Rust, renderer-protocol, reference-scene, audit, and packaging gates. Windows installers are currently unsigned and may show an unknown-publisher warning.
Cataclysm v0.9.0
Universal scenario library and Quick Start milestone. One persistent rail now spans tsunami reference events and complete direct asteroid/nuclear what-if scenarios, with preview-only camera framing, one explicit Run & Watch action, recents, favorites, custom creation, and cross-domain search. Verified locally with 306 unit tests, 51 headless browser journeys, 11 desktop visual baselines, 124 Rust release tests, the strict 24-scene 1440p/4K reference matrix, and a GPU-enabled packaged-binary probe. Installers are currently unsigned and may show a Windows publisher warning.
Cataclysm v0.8.5
Live-Earth launch cinematic with a skippable five-second identity sequence, reduced-motion fallback, first/always/never preferences, Settings preview, and a safety-notice handoff before runnable actions. Verified locally with 299 unit tests, 47 headless browser tests, 124 Rust release tests, the strict 24-scene 1440p/4K reference matrix, and a GPU-enabled packaged-binary probe. Installers are currently unsigned and may show a Windows publisher warning.
Cataclysm v0.8.4
Adds perceptual visual-quality contracts and deterministic Before/Event/Aftermath review sheets for all reference scenes. Weak analytical frames now remain available for regression testing but are blocked from launch, thumbnail, and promotional use until both measurable checks and scene-specific review pass. Includes GPU-enabled Windows MSI and NSIS installers; current packages are unsigned.
Cataclysm v0.8.3
Usability and recovery audit release. Restores stable navigation and solver playback, hardens settings and effect recovery, improves desktop comparison and input workflows, and ships refreshed visual regression coverage. Verified locally with 294 unit tests, 46 browser/visual/WCAG tests, 124 Rust release tests, lint, type checking, security audits, and GPU capability probing.
Cataclysm v0.8.0
Living-Earth simulator visual-system release: source-first desktop workflow, grouped reference events, instrumented Earth viewport, solver-aware transport, refined Settings/onboarding, and deterministic dark/light visual verification. All 153 unit tests, 23 browser checks, and 91 Rust release tests pass locally. Windows installers are currently unsigned because code-signing credentials are not configured; verify downloads with the attached SHA-256 checksums.
Cataclysm v0.7.0 — Professional simulator workspace
Desktop-first professional simulator redesign with a filterable scenario library, dominant globe viewport, Setup/Results/Layers inspector, persistent transport, categorized settings, horizontal comparison, dark/light desktop QA, and Cataclysm-branded exports. Includes MSI and NSIS installers plus SHA-256 checksums. Windows binaries are locally built and currently unsigned.
