@SysAdminDoc SysAdminDoc released this 16 Oct 20:17

Hushfeed v0.75.0 has 135 patches for global TikTok 47.1.4 (com.zhiliaoapp.musically), and 90 of them work on PineDrama 47.1.4 too. It needs Morphe Manager 1.34.0 or newer, since it's built on patcher 1.15.1.

This one is mostly fixes. Every patch went through a full check on TikTok 47.1.4, and the ones that had stopped working were fixed. The Profile tab opens again on the phones where it crashed, phones set to another language stay in it after patching, and See translation comes back on videos for accounts TikTok took it from. There's new stuff too: a block button in a comment's menu, an accent color that follows your wallpaper and an edge to edge progress bar.

Here's every report this release changed something for, and what changed.

For bug reports

  • TikTok crashing or a blank Profile tab (#165, #140). The Profile tab opens again. Two hooks behind Show follow status made some phones' Android refuse the profile name code.
  • TikTok in English after patching (#125). Remove content credential and card scanner assets and Remove creation tools leave TikTok's own language alone now. Patch again to get yours back.
  • See translation on videos (#143). The translation switch under Comments is now Bring back TikTok's translation, and after a restart it brings See translation back under descriptions and in captions too.
  • Saves timing out (#179). A long video on a slow connection gets up to 20 minutes as long as data keeps coming in.
  • Commenting in LIVE (#110). With Log diagnostics on, an exported report now says whether a comment went to the room you were in.
  • Overlaps on opened videos (#153). With the comment bar hidden, Share and its label move up off the progress bar too.
  • Automatic Clear Display (#84). A video opened from search starts cleared, without its buttons flashing up first.
  • Saving profile pictures (#160). A long press on a profile picture saves it again on 47.1.4.
  • The blank space in the comment header (#161). Comments open without the empty white band.
  • See-through status bar on later videos (#164). Every feed video reaches up under the clock, not only the first.
  • The progress bar's side gaps (#173). Full-width progress bar runs the bar from one screen edge to the other.

For requests

  • Full screen video (#145). With the comment bar hidden and Like the lowest button left on the right, the like count stays above the progress bar.
  • Discover more with Tako (#162). With Hide the Tako bubble on, a caption tap expands the caption in place, and captions that already fit lose the stray "more".
  • Material You (#163). Accent color has a Follow the wallpaper option on Android 12 and up.
  • Double tap and long press (#136). Only on the sides of the video keeps your long press choice to the left and right thirds, so the middle still opens TikTok's menu.
  • Blocking from comments (#169). Block this commenter sits in the menu a long press on a comment opens.
  • The Inbox bubble (#170). Hide the unread badges on the bottom tabs keeps that bubble down too.
  • Big downloads (#27). A big pick from a profile grid saves all the way through.
  • LIVE settings (#57). The Video quality list in a LIVE room isn't white on white in dark mode anymore.
  • Caption corners (#158). Dark and Black caption backgrounds keep TikTok's rounded corners.
  • Region locked features (#98). The LIVE chat auto-translate preset tells you it also needs a Japanese SIM.

What's changed

  • With Hide the comment bar on opened videos on and Like the lowest button left on the right, the like count no longer sits on the progress bar and the time beside it. The buttons already moved up to clear the bar, but they stopped at the heart and left its count under it (#145).
  • Show translation options in Language settings is now Bring back TikTok's translation, and it brings back See translation under video descriptions and in captions as well. TikTok takes translation away from some accounts with one setting on its side, which hid the button on videos along with the Language page rows. Turning it on asks for a restart now, since TikTok checks that setting once when it starts (#143).
  • With Log diagnostics on, an exported report now notes each LIVE room TikTok enters and whether a LIVE comment went to that same room. It's for comments that show for you but never reach the room (#110). Room ids and what you typed stay out of it.
  • A long video on a slow connection saves now instead of stopping with "The video couldn't be saved". Every save had two minutes, and a big file was cut off while it was still coming in. A download that keeps moving gets up to 20 minutes, and one that goes 30 seconds without any data still stops (#179).
  • Hide the rewards shortcut shows a restart button now when you flip it. Hushfeed hides the gift box as TikTok draws the profile, so a profile that was already open kept it until TikTok restarted.
  • Copy bio and IDs puts Copy username and Copy user ID on the Share profile sheet in Settings and privacy too. That sheet only has Send to and the apps row, so the buttons never showed up there. They now sit under the apps.
  • Turn off screen transitions works again. TikTok asks for its own slide after the screen has opened, later than Hushfeed used to ask for none, so pages kept sliding in with the switch on. Hushfeed asks again after TikTok now, and pages like Hushfeed's settings open with a plain cut.
  • Hide suggested accounts shows a restart button now when you flip it. The Friends tab and profiles keep the suggestion cards they've already drawn until TikTok restarts, so turning it on while TikTok was open seemed to do nothing there. The Inbox still changes right away.
  • Copy the full link for short links now works with Clean up shared links off. TikTok shortens a link that still has its tracking on its own servers, after Hushfeed has already seen it, so the short link reached the clipboard untouched. It also takes the tiktok.com/t/ short form now, not only vt.tiktok.com and vm.tiktok.com.
  • Turning Default speed off now counts from the very next video. Before, the video after it still played at the old default, since TikTok hands each video the last one's speed when you swipe and Hushfeed took that for a speed you'd picked. Speeds you pick yourself work as before.
  • Remove content credential and card scanner assets and Remove creation tools no longer leave parts of TikTok in English on a phone set to another language. Both emptied small code packages that TikTok loads every time it starts, and when one was empty, buttons and other text of TikTok's own came up in English. Those packages now stay. Remove content credential and card scanner assets no longer takes out TikTok's on-device AI files either (Stop on-device AI profiling still keeps that AI from starting), so it now saves about 11 MB, and Remove creation tools about 38 MB. Patch again to get your language back (#125).
  • The Video quality list in a LIVE room's Share menu no longer shows its qualities white on white in dark mode. Text in that list that can't be read against what's behind it now turns white on a dark row and dark on a light one. Light mode doesn't change (#57).
  • With Automatic Clear Display on and no delay, a video opened from search starts cleared. Before, it showed its buttons, its caption, the comment box and the "find related content" bar along the top for about a second before they went, every time a result was opened. TikTok now opens those videos inside its main screen rather than a page of their own, so the hold that keeps the controls away until the clear lands never started there (#84).
  • With Hide the Tako bubble on, a caption that already fits no longer shows a "more" on videos with Tako content. That "more" led into the search sheet, so with the sheet skipped it looked like a button that did nothing. These captions now behave like the ones on any other video: "more" only when the text is cut off, and a tap expands the caption in place. Turn the switch off, or pause Hushfeed, and TikTok's own captions come back (#162).
  • Accent color has a new patch option, Follow the wallpaper. On Android 12 and up, TikTok's buttons and red text take the color of your wallpaper theme and change on their own when you change the wallpaper, with no new patch needed. Android 11 and older keep TikTok's red, and the color you pick above isn't used while the option is on (#163).
  • A new Full-width progress bar switch sits under Show the time beside the progress bar in Playback. It takes away the gap TikTok leaves at each end, so the bar runs from one screen edge to the other and dragging still seeks. Turning it off or pausing Hushfeed puts the bar back as TikTok built it (#173).
  • With Hide the Tako bubble on, tapping a caption (or its "more") no longer opens a sheet with "Discover more with Tako" and an "Ask Tako" box on some videos. The caption expands in place instead, the way it already did on videos without Tako content. Turn the switch off, or pause Hushfeed, and TikTok's sheet comes back (#162).
  • A new switch, Only on the sides of the video, sits right under Long press in the Gestures section of Feed screen. Pick any Long press choice other than TikTok default, turn it on, and the choice runs only on the left and right thirds of the video. A press in the middle opens TikTok's own menu again, with Download, Not interested, Speed and the rest. It's off by default (#136).
  • With Hide the comment bar on opened videos on, Share and its label no longer sit over the end of the progress bar and the time beside it. On a video with no music disc, Share is the lowest button on the right, and only the disc used to move up out of the bar's way. Now the whole row of buttons goes up when it needs to (#153).
  • The LIVE chat auto-translate preset in Feature Gate Lab now says what else it needs. Its Translate comments button only shows up with a Japanese SIM too, so the preview asks you to turn on Override SIM details and pick Japan, NTT DOCOMO before you restart TikTok (#98).
  • A recorded screen layout now lists a popup's own views even when the screen behind it is very busy, and it no longer spends its space on the next video waiting under the For You feed. Before, the export could run out of room before it reached a card on screen (#162).
  • Hushfeed settings can now follow TikTok in Simplified Chinese. The complete first translation covers the settings pages, dialogs and runtime messages. Traditional Chinese stays in English until it has its own translation, and corrections to this first pass are welcome.
  • Allow screenshots and Circle to Search now covers popups that TikTok builds outside an Activity window. A controlled Android 15 check of TikTok's own Compose popup showed black with the switch off, visible content with it on, and black again while Hushfeed was paused. Naturally served popups still depend on what TikTok enables for an account.
  • Starting with the next release, Morphe Manager shows that release's whole change list even while it is the newest one. Before, Manager showed only the short bundle summary for the release on a phone, then showed its full list after another release came out. The published 0.74.0 index stays unchanged.
  • The current TikTok 47.1.4 build passed strict Android 17 16 KB-page runtime checks. It cold-started twice and played more than one feed video with compatibility mode disabled on the 16 KB emulator. The target-37 audit also covers the reflection used by Block this commenter. Static alignment results remain separate and don't claim that every bundled 32-bit file is compatible.
  • The Profile tab opens again on phones where it crashed or came up blank since 0.72.0. Two of Show follow status's hooks left a value typed two ways where their paths met, and some phones' Android refused the whole profile name class for it (#165, #140).
  • A Dark or Black caption background keeps the rounded corners TikTok gives the caption. Hushfeed used to put a plain color in place of TikTok's rounded shape, so the corners came out square. The color now fills TikTok's own shape (#158).
  • Save a profile picture on a long press works again. On TikTok 47.1.4 every hold on a profile picture said "Open the profile again and try once more", because Hushfeed looked for the profile under a name an older TikTok gave it. It now finds the profile the picture belongs to however TikTok names it, and still checks it against the @name on screen before saving (#160).
  • With Hide search suggestions above comments on, comments no longer open with an empty white band above the comment count on some videos. On some accounts TikTok saves the banner's spot before it builds the banner, so hiding only the banner left its spot behind. The switch now answers TikTok's own "any suggestion here?" check, so no spot is saved, and the newer style of that banner goes too (#161).
  • A comment's menu can now block the person who wrote it. Press and hold a comment and pick Block this commenter, and their comments leave the list right away, the way they do after a block from their profile. A banner names who you blocked and offers Undo. Turn on Block from a comment's menu in Hushfeed settings > Comments, under Blocking (#169).
  • With See-through status bar on, every feed video now reaches up under the clock, not only the first one after TikTok starts. TikTok plays that first video in a surface it makes at launch, and later videos can play in another kind of player with no surface inside it, so they kept a black band above and below. That player grows now too. With Fit the video to the screen also on, Fit wins and the whole picture stays in view instead of being grown back over its sides. Fill the screen with the video already covers the screen, so it and See-through status bar don't undo each other (#164).
  • Hide the unread badges on the bottom tabs also keeps down the bubble TikTok floats over Inbox when it opens, the one counting new likes, followers, comments and who's LIVE. It used to take only the red counts and dots off the tabs, so that bubble still came up every time (#170).
  • Saving a big pick from a profile grid no longer gives up a few videos in with "the rest ran out of time". The whole save had two minutes for all its videos, so a pick of 50 always ran out. Each video now gets its own two minutes, and one that really stalls still stops the save (#27).
  • Hide suggestions on the search page also hides the "You may like" list on accounts where TikTok 47.1.4 draws that list itself. On those accounts the list and its Refresh button stayed on the search page with the switch on, because none of the switch's hooks reached it. Your search history still shows, and turning the switch off brings the list back.

Update

Refresh the Hushfeed source in Morphe Manager 1.34.0 or newer and patch TikTok again. Keep the manager's existing signing key so your login and settings carry over. The .mpp is a patch bundle, not a TikTok APK.

Checked

  • 4614 runtime tests and 954 patch tests passed. Both Android lint checks passed.
  • All 135 patches applied to TikTok 47.1.4 with desktop CLI 1.18.1. Resource checks passed, and the attached release receipt records the exact bundle and its result.
  • The attached bundle itself was patched onto TikTok 47.1.4 and installed over the last build on a Galaxy S22, which stayed signed in. Its Settings, progress bar and video overlay checks all passed there, 16 in all.
  • Every patch went through a repeatable audit on a Galaxy S22 with TikTok 47.1.4. 349 checks passed and none failed. 17 more never got what they wait for on that account, like a contacts read or a floating promotion.
  • The fixes from that audit were each seen working on the S22. Pages opened with a plain cut with Turn off screen transitions on, turning Default playback speed off counted from the next video, tiktok.com/t/ links copied in full, Hide suggested accounts cleared the Friends tab after its restart, the rewards gift box went with its switch, Copy username and Copy user ID showed on the Share profile sheet, and the search page lost its You may like list.
  • Also on the S22, every feed video reached up under the clock with See-through status bar on (#164), comments opened without the white band (#161), Block this commenter showed in a comment's menu (#169), a profile picture saved on a long press (#160), Pick all saved 50 posts from a profile (#27), and a Black caption background kept its rounded corners (#158).
  • With the comment bar hidden and only Like left on the right, the S22 showed the like count ending above the progress bar and the time (#145). With Bring back TikTok's translation on, See translation showed under a Spanish caption on the feed (#143).
  • The Profile tab fix is covered by a test that runs Android's own type rules over every hook bridge, since the S22 never showed the crash itself (#165, #140).
  • On an Android emulator, a press in the middle of a video opened TikTok's menu while a side press ran the Long press choice (#136), Share's count ended above the time on an opened video (#153), a caption tap expanded in place with Hide the Tako bubble on and opened the Tako sheet again with it off (#162), and Full-width progress bar reached both screen edges (#173).
  • On an emulator set to Spanish, a full build kept TikTok in Spanish on a fresh install, after a force close and when installed over the build that had turned it English (#125).
  • On a strict 16 KB page Android 17 emulator with compatibility mode off, a build from this source cold-started twice and played moving video. On Android 15, a TikTok popup showed up in screenshots with Allow screenshots and Circle to Search on and came out black with it off or with Hushfeed paused. With the phone set to Chinese (China), Hushfeed settings showed in Simplified Chinese.
