OpenCut v1.55.1 fixes the installer crash reported in issue #6. If setup died the moment you clicked Next on the License page, this is the build you want.
What was wrong
- WPF raises change events while a page is still being constructed. The Options page ran its disk-space estimate against controls that didn't exist yet, so clicking Next could kill the whole installer with an unhandled NullReferenceException before the page ever drew.
- The Complete page carried the same latent pattern on its launch checkbox. Every state-change handler in the setup pages now waits until the page has finished building, and a test keeps it that way.
Nothing else changed. The editor itself is identical to v1.55.0.
Verification
- The strict local release gate passed on the tagged commit. That run checks version sync, generated docs, licensing, dependency locks, lint and the security audits.
- 1,179 release-gate Python tests passed, with 203 subtests.
- All 267 panel unit tests passed.
- All 72 headless CEP and UXP rendered checks passed across supported widths, themes and forced-colours states.
- The quiet install and uninstall smoke passed against a temporary directory.
Windows installer
The installer is unsigned because no Authenticode certificate is configured. Windows may show a SmartScreen warning. Verify the downloaded file against release-digests.json before running it.
