We agree with the spirit of this suggestion and have opened an issue #87 to address it. However the patch provided doesn't seem like the way we would choose to address it. |

This tidbit (or a tidbit like it) might alleviate the need for accomplishing a full course on Operating Systems and authoring C code before delving into a C example, or writing C code on top of an Operating System.
Basically the JVM and other languages provide abstractions and template examples over these POSIX primitives, but this section could potentially serve as a minimal primer on the needed resources to explore further.
