Easy installation

Download Mowik-2.3.0-Setup.exe and run the installer. Mówik supports 64-bit Windows 10/11. You do not need to install Python, extract a ZIP archive, or run any scripts manually.

The installer adds Mówik to the Start menu and Windows Settings, offers an optional desktop shortcut and launch at startup, and preserves your configuration, custom vocabulary, sounds, and downloaded models during upgrades.

The application interface is currently available in Polish. See the English guide for translated setup instructions and control labels.

What's new

  • a redesigned Mówik Control Center with a welcome screen and sidebar navigation,
  • a system tray icon showing whether Mówik is ready, recording, processing, or has encountered an error,
  • faster startup and lower latency through local model caching and improved buffering,
  • more reliable NVIDIA/CUDA 12.9 support with bundled cuBLAS/cuDNN and automatic CPU fallback,
  • gentler audio cues and microphone stability improvements,
  • automated builds, installation tests, and release publishing through GitHub Actions.

First launch

On first launch, Mówik downloads the speech-recognition model once to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Mowik\models. After that, transcription runs locally and offline. The installer is approximately 1 GB because it includes the complete CPU and NVIDIA runtime.

SmartScreen and checksum

This release is not yet signed with a commercial Authenticode certificate, so Windows may display an Unknown publisher warning. Download the installer only from this release page and verify it using SHA256SUMS.txt.

Najprostsza instalacja

Pobierz Mowik-2.3.0-Setup.exe i uruchom instalator. Obsługiwany jest 64-bitowy Windows 10/11. Nie trzeba instalować Pythona, rozpakowywać ZIP-a ani uruchamiać skryptów.

Instalator dodaje Mówika do menu Start i Ustawień Windows, oferuje opcjonalny skrót na pulpicie oraz autostart, a podczas aktualizacji zachowuje konfigurację, słownik, dźwięki i pobrane modele.

Co nowego

  • nowe, profesjonalne Centrum Mówika z ekranem startowym i boczną nawigacją,
  • ikona przy zegarze pokazująca stan: gotowy, nagrywanie, przetwarzanie lub błąd,

  • pewniejsza obsługa NVIDIA/CUDA 12.9 z własnym cuBLAS/cuDNN i automatycznym fallbackiem CPU,
  • łagodniejsze sygnały dźwiękowe oraz poprawki stabilności mikrofonu,
  • automatyczny build, test instalacji i publikacja kolejnych wydań przez GitHub Actions.

Pierwsze uruchomienie

Mówik jednorazowo pobierze model rozpoznawania mowy do %LOCALAPPDATA%\Mowik\models. Po pobraniu rozpoznawanie działa lokalnie i offline. Instalator ma około 1 GB, ponieważ zawiera kompletny runtime CPU/NVIDIA.

SmartScreen i suma kontrolna

Wydanie nie jest jeszcze podpisane komercyjnym certyfikatem Authenticode, dlatego Windows może wyświetlić komunikat Nieznany wydawca. Pobieraj instalator wyłącznie z tej strony wydania i zweryfikuj go za pomocą pliku SHA256SUMS.txt.
