TJ,Is there something that will start playing a preset that was playing when the app is restarted?Jeff CSent from my iPhoneOn Jul 21, 2026, at 9:35 AM, TJGigs ***@***.***> wrote:

yes. There is auto-resume preset. IT will play what was playing on the speaker (if it was a preset) once you turn the speaker back on. |

Yeah... I could use that. I put a crontab in to reboot my RP once a week. I
was hoping that there was a setting that would restart a playing preset. I
suppose I can add scheduled play for shortly after the reboot.

@TJGigs Could you tell me the exact webhook or URL endpoint that Bose Hybrid exposes for triggering a preset or playback externally?
|
|
If that isn't possible with Hybrid, just so you know, I use this Home Assistant module (alongside Bose Hybrid): https://github.com/thlucas1/homeassistantcomponent_soundtouchplus |
|
@timdu74 Thanks a lot for the tip! Just one question: how did you get the other functions? |
|
@Andreas221988 If you are talking about the card in HA with the presets, you need the module |

Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
If it’s now possible to trigger automations through Home Assistant when using the Bose Hybrid integration. Since Hybrid is running inside Home Assistant, I’m hoping that HA can expose enough entities or services to let me automate things like “when motion is detected, start playing music on a Bose speaker”.
Right now I’m not entirely sure which parts of Hybrid are available as HA entities or events, and whether media actions can be triggered directly through HA’s automation engine. If anyone has already tested this or knows what is currently supported, I’d really appreciate some insight.
If it is possible, I’d love to hear how you set it up — especially simple use cases like motion → play music or time‑based triggers.
