winproc-tui v1.6.0
What's changed
This release expands process and file investigation, makes recording scope easier to review, and improves navigation and compact layouts.
Added
- File actions: Open a file's containing folder or launch it with its default app directly from Files. (Issue #167)
- Executable location: Reveal a live process's executable in Explorer from its context menu. (Issue #168)
- Process Info sizing: Resize the dialog with the keyboard or mouse; its height stays consistent when switching tabs. (Issue #166)
- Recording scope: Review tracked names and current matching process counts before starting a recording. (Issue #179)
- File types: Distinguish file and directory handles in Files. (Issue #180)
Changed
- File-user search: Simplified searches to match the full path, and retain the matched path when opening a result in Files. (Issue #116, Issue #177)
- Inspection navigation: Separate Filter and table focus, make active tables easier to recognize, and keep selected rows visible across focus changes. (Issue #165, Issue #144, Issue #181)
- Menu shortcuts: Use Alt+H to open Help and Alt+0 to restore automatic height in Processes and Process Info. (Issue #162)
Fixed
- Process termination: Keep the interface responsive during batch termination and show per-process progress and results. (Issue #164)
- Profile saving: Ctrl+S consistently saves the active profile, including from the profile browser; Save As remains available from the Investigation menu. (Issue #173)
- Compact layouts: Preserve readable measurements, active filters, useful Graph/Samples layouts, and essential Help and Process Info navigation guidance. (Issue #169, Issue #170, Issue #171, Issue #178)
- Graph rendering: Eliminate moving-average residue below the axis after values return to zero. (Issue #163)
- Log-open errors: Show complete, scrollable errors while preserving the current activity and log selection. (Issue #175)
- Focus feedback: Keep the caret in the active overlay, dim the workspace behind investigation dialogs, expire stale selection messages, and show Network filter guidance appropriate to the current focus. (Issue #174, Issue #138, Issue #145, Issue #172)
