This is a small tool I made to automatically eject your external drives when your Mac goes to sleep, and remount them when it wakes up.

It’s a solution for the annoying “Disk Not Ejected Properly” warnings that show up even when nothing’s wrong. Apple hasn’t fixed this for some reason, so I decided to make my own simple fix for free.

What this version adds:
• Drives are ejected when your Mac sleeps
• Drives are remounted when you wake your Mac
• Encrypted APFS drives are now supported (password stored securely in Keychain)
• Added helpful prompts to guide you through required macOS permissions:
• Full Disk Access for Terminal
• Enabling SleepWatcher in Login Items

Important:
• You might still see the “Disk Not Ejected Properly” popup sometimes.
This is a cosmetic bug in macOS, but your drives are safely ejected.
• You can verify everything worked by running:

       `cat ~/sleepwatcher.log`

How to use:
1. Download the .dmg file below.
2. Open EjectDrive Setup and follow the prompts.
3. Make sure you follow the one-time macOS permission steps (it will guide you).
4. That’s it! Your drives will auto-eject on sleep and remount on wake.

If you want to remove it later, just run Uninstall Auto-Eject.

I made this as a free alternative to other apps that charge money for something this simple.
