Checklist
Description
When new files enter my TagStudio library, these files are not tagged. If I want to run the "Folders to Tags" macro on these new files exclusively, there is no way for me to do so.
The best option I have found so far is to delete my TagStudio library, and create a new one. This must be done every time I import new files. Obviously, this is not ideal for a regular file management workflow.
Would love if there was some way to run "Folders to Tags" on new files, untagged files, or specific selections of files.
Solution
TagStudio Startup Setting: "Automatic Folders to Tags Update"
When this setting is enabled, TagStudio searches for new files on startup, and applies the Folders to Tags macro exclusively to those files.
Alternatives
If an automatic "Folders to Tags" update on startup is not possible, either of these solutions would suffice:
Folders to Tags Setting: "Apply to Untagged Files Only"
This setting could be enabled via a checkbox on the Folders to Tags window. When enabled, the Folders to Tags macro only targets files that have not been tagged.
File Select Option: "Apply Folders to Tags macro to these files"
When right-clicking on a selected file (or group of selected files), an option appears that applies the Folders to Tags macro to those files exclusively.
