Ubuntu 16.04+

Setup Ubuntu

If you already have Ubuntu 16.04+ installed you can skip this step. Follow this guide from Digital Ocean to install and setup an ubuntu server

Dependencies

This bot requires python3.6!

Clone

Run the following commands to download the VectorBot.

git clone https://github.com/TagnumElite/VectorBot.git VectorBot -b master
cd VectorBot

If you already created the folder

git clone https://github.com/TagnumElite/VectorBot.git . -b master

Install Requirements

First let's make sure pip is up to date

python3.6 -m pip install --upgrade pip

Run this command inside the bots folder

python3.6 -m pip install --upgrade -r requirements.txt

Setup

Now you should create a bot account and add it to your server.

Inside the bots folder you must run ./run.sh which will create an configs.json for you to use. Use the ExampleConfig.json to understand what each of the options are and what they do.

Startup

Let's check if the bot works now

python3.6 bot.py

If not then check the FAQ. If it did work then you might want to run the bot from a screen to make it run permanently.
