Release list
Nuclear Replay 0.5.1
Kill marks now land on the moment the missile hits.
The game's kill feed shows up a couple of seconds after the hit, so until now kill marks on the timeline, "jump to kill" and the Victim cut camera came in late, after the explosion. New recordings remember when the hit happened, and the replay uses that time instead, so the cut to the victim lands right on the impact.
- Applies to recordings made with 0.5.1 or later, for kills by missiles and guns.
- Kills with no weapon hit behind them, such as crashes, stay at the kill feed time.
- Older recordings play exactly as before.
Install
Download NuclearReplay-0.5.1-plugins.zip and unzip it into BepInEx/plugins/NuclearReplay in your Nuclear Option folder (BepInEx 5 required), replacing the old NuclearReplay.dll. Full steps are in the README.
Nuclear Replay 0.5.0
First public release of Nuclear Replay, a free mod that records the Nuclear Option matches you host and lets you watch them again inside the game.
What's in it
- Every match you host is recorded on its own. Open Replays from the main menu to watch one.
- A timeline with missile launches (amber) and kills (red). Click a mark to jump there.
- Seven camera presets (cinematic chase, victim cut, missile follow, chase, orbit, flyby, cockpit) and a free camera.
- Pause, skip 10 seconds, and play from 0.25x to 4x.
- Clips: mark a start and an end, press C, and the game records that part as an MP4. The first clip asks before it downloads FFmpeg (about 258 MB).
Install
Download NuclearReplay-0.5.0-plugins.zip and unzip it into BepInEx/plugins/NuclearReplay in your Nuclear Option folder (BepInEx 5 required). A listing in the NOMM mod manager is on the way. Full steps are in the README.
Known limits
- Only the host records. Other players do not need the mod.
- Tested on Linux with Proton. A first Windows test is under way; please report problems in Issues.
If you used Nuclear Context before: this is the same mod under a new name. Delete BepInEx/plugins/NuclearContext before you start the game. Your old recordings still show in the Replays list.
