In elementary classrooms, children often face "big emotions" that they aren't yet equipped to process. Tammy the Tattle Turtle is an intelligent IoT companion that provides a safe, non-judgmental harbor for children to share their feelings.

By combining Socratic questioning with edge-AI hardware, Tammy helps children navigate their thoughts while ensuring teachers stay informed through a smart safety-classification system.

Our team integrated industry-leading IoT and AI technologies to bring Tammy to life:

• The Brain: Tuya T5 AI Board - Managing voice processing and edge-intelligence.
• The Interface: Waveshare 1.75" Touch AMOLED - Delivering a vibrant, animated personality.
• The Intelligence: Hackstorm.ai - Powering the empathetic Socratic dialogue.

Tammy doesn't just "listen"—she guides. She uses gentle validation and small, manageable questions to help children visualize a path from distress to calm.

Every interaction ends with a "Mini-Mission" (like a deep breath or a creative task), giving the child an immediate sense of agency and empowerment.

Tammy automatically categorizes interactions using a "Traffic Light" system:

• 🟢 Green: General socializing & happy updates.
• 🟠 Orange: Minor conflicts & academic stress.
• 🔴 Red (CRITICAL): Immediate safety concerns or physical harm.

1. Activation: The child says "Hello Tammy."
2. Rapport: Tammy introduces herself and learns the child's name.
3. Discovery: Socratic questioning helps the child identify the "What" and "How."
4. Action: Tammy gives a small task to help the child feel better.
5. Report: A structured summary is instantly sent to the Tuya Cloud for the teacher.
