🚀 Release v1.1.0 – Major improvements for Spring Boot users
This release modernizes the JWT Utilities Library by introducing Spring Boot auto-configuration, removing the need for static methods or manual setup. It’s fully backward-compatible with clear upgrade paths.
✨ Added
- ✅ Spring Boot auto-configuration: Just add
application.properties, no bean or scan needed - ✅
JwtUtilis now a Spring-managed component (inject via@Autowired) - ✅ Default constructor for non-Spring use — loads config from
application.properties - ✅ Annotation fallback:
@ValidateJwtTokencan skip parameters, uses config instead - ✅ Helpful exception messages (includes RFC 7518 secret key validation)
- ✅ Javadoc and method overloading improvements
🔁 Changed
- 🔄 Switched from static to instance-based usage of
JwtUtil - 🔄 Improved exception clarity and configuration fallback behavior
⚠️ Migration Notes (from v1.0.0)
- ❌ Static usage is deprecated (e.g.,
JwtUtil.generateJwtToken(...)) - ✅ Instead, use Spring DI:
@Autowired
JwtUtil jwtUtil;
