Peek tiles: your other sessions' live work beside the one you're in, one click away. (#17)

  • Peek tiles. Off until you turn them on: the tiles button in the top bar, Alt+P, or /peek (the launcher and Appearance work too). Each tile is a session that's working, waiting for an approval, finished since you last looked, or pinned, with its last few steps: what was asked, what Pi said, and its tool calls. While they're off, a dot on the button says another session waits for you. (#17)
  • Swap with a click. Click a tile to open its session; the one you leave takes its place, so the tiles stay put. (#17)
  • Approvals from a tile. A waiting call shows its whole command and why the guard asks, with Allow and Deny. A command too long to show whole offers Open instead, which goes to the conversation it waits in. (#17)
  • Scroll through dozens. Only the tiles on screen are live; the rest keep their last lines. ▲/▼ N need you at the column's edge goes to a waiting tile out of view. On phones, the tiles are a strip under the top bar that swipes sideways. With tiles off, nothing is sent at all. (#17)

The code is easier to read: formatted the same way as Nooklet, with room to breathe between blocks instead of dense one-liners. Nothing changes in how Pi Pocket works. (#16)

  • Prettier and ESLint. 4 spaces, 100 columns, braces on every if and loop, and blank lines after declarations, around blocks, and before return and throw. npm run format applies the style and npm run lint checks it. (#16)
  • Readable markup. Long tags in the web app's templates get one attribute per line and their contents on their own lines. Every template still renders exactly as before. (#16)

To update an existing install:

git pull

No restart or npm install needed. Run npm install only if you want npm run format and npm run lint.

The People chat and the model picker now look and work the way the showcase video shows them. (#15)

  • People beside the conversation. On a wide screen, the People chat, pins, and notes slide in as a window next to the conversation instead of a popup over it. Phones keep the sheet. It takes the Browser panel's place, and stays open across reloads and sessions. On its Pinned or Notes tab, new chat messages still show a notice and an unread count. (#15)
  • Model picker as a menu. Tap the model chip and the picker opens up from it: your current model first and checked, each model with its provider, and the thinking levels as one bar below. Arrows and Enter pick. A search box shows when you have many models. (#15)

To update an existing install:

git pull

No restart or npm install needed: open browsers pick up the change on their own.

The message box catches up with other agent harnesses: mention files with @, run commands with !, recall what you sent, and open any file Pi talks about, from your phone too. (#14)

  • Mention files. Type @ for the session folder's files and folders, matched as you type (@srvapp finds src/server/app.ts), with nothing to wait for on the network. Tap a folder to open it. Pi reads what you mention, or tap Send them along to send the files with your message. (#14)
  • Shell commands. !git status runs in the session's folder and Pi sees the output; !! keeps it from Pi. Stop a long one from its row or Running now. A restart never runs one twice. (#14)
  • What you sent before. ↑ in an empty box steps back through your messages, and Ctrl+R searches them. (#14)
  • Long pastes fold into [Pasted text #1 · 240 lines] and go out in full. (#14)
  • Files at a tap. Paths in Pi's replies, your mentions, tool cards, and Changes open a viewer with line numbers, rendered Markdown, images, and folders. (#14)
  • Find in session. Ctrl/⌘+F or /find searches the whole session, earlier history included, and jumps to the match. (#14)
  • Undo a file. In Changes, undo one file's uncommitted changes; Pi is told. (#14)
  • Skills as commands. Run Pi's skills with /skill:name. (#14)
  • Esc twice stops Pi. (#14)
  • Better session titles. A long first message gets a short title written by a small model of the session's provider. (#14)
  • Fixed: diffs in Changes showed on one line. (#14)

To update an existing install:

git pull

Then restart Pi Pocket: these features add server routes. No npm install needed.

Tidying up sessions is quicker: archive from the sidebar, undo from the notice, and select several sessions at once. (#13)

  • Archive and pin from the row. Hover a session in the sidebar for its archive and pin buttons. On phones they stay in the session's menu. (#13)
  • Undo. Archiving says so in a notice: tap it to undo. Archive the session you are in and you go home; undo and it opens again. (#13)
  • Select several. Ctrl/⌘+click, Ctrl/⌘+drag across rows (the list scrolls along at its edges), or Shift+click a run, then archive, unarchive, pin, or unpin them from the bar at the foot of the sidebar. Esc lets go. (#13)
  • Sessions keep their place. Archiving no longer moves a session up the list, so one you bring back returns to where it was. Renaming still moves it up. (#13)

To update an existing install:

git pull

Then restart Pi Pocket: archiving changed on the server. No npm install needed.

Pi Pocket now has a built-in browser, like the ones in Claude Code and Codex: Pi opens, clicks through, and screenshots pages in a real Chromium on the server, and you watch and use the same page, from your phone too. (#12)

  • Browser panel. The globe in the top bar, Alt+B, /browser localhost:5173, or Menu → Browser. Beside the conversation on wide screens, full screen on phones: an address bar, sizes (fit, desktop, phone, tablet), a console with an error count, and a keyboard bar for phones. (#12)
  • Pi's browser tool. Pi opens dev servers, HTML files, and sites, reads the page with refs to its controls, clicks and types, takes screenshots it can see, reads the console, and runs JavaScript in the page, while everyone in the session watches. (#12)
  • Your dev server, anywhere. Pages run on the server, so localhost:5173 works from your phone. (#12)
  • Comes back after a restart. Each session's page opens again at its last address and size. (#12)
  • Shared with care. Anyone in the session watches; using the page takes steering rights, the addresses people open show in the chat, and files and the list of local servers are the owner's. Plan mode lets Pi look at pages but not act on them. The browser reaches what the server reaches: see SECURITY.md. (#12)

It needs Chromium, Chrome, Brave, or Edge on the server (or PI_POCKET_BROWSER). Tested on Linux and macOS; Windows is not tested yet. The owner can turn it off in Menu → Extensions.

To update an existing install:

git pull

Then restart Pi Pocket: the browser adds server routes. No npm install needed.

Calmer motion while Pi works: only the conversation moves now. (#10)

  • Top bar: no sweep while Pi works, and the subagent dot no longer blinks.
  • Sidebar and folded rail: working sessions are marked, not animated.
  • Running tile: a count, no animation.
  • Tool cards: a running call keeps its accent edge and spinner, without the scan line.

To update:

git pull

Web files only: open tabs reload on their own, and no restart is needed.

Pi Pocket now wears Omarchy's look: every Omarchy theme, a Desktop theme that follows yours, tiled Hyprland-style windows, Hyprland's motion, a Walker-style launcher, and a new sidebar.

  • Every Omarchy theme. All 22, light ones included, from each theme's own colors.toml. Pick one in Menu → Appearance, the Theme tile, the launcher, or with /theme gruvbox: the new look grows as a circle from where you tapped. (#9)
  • Follow desktop. On an Omarchy machine, the Desktop theme follows the theme you set with omarchy-theme-set, within seconds, and can show your wallpaper in the gaps. (#9)
  • Tiled windows. On wide screens the sidebar and the session are windows with gaps, and the active border follows your mouse. (#9)
  • Hyprland motion. Omarchy's curves and timings: sheets and windows pop in at 87%, notices count down, running tool calls light up, new messages slide in. Reduced motion is honored. (#9)
  • Launcher. Ctrl/⌘+K for sessions, actions, and themes. Arrow onto a theme to see it at once; Enter keeps it, Escape goes back. Start with >, @, or # to search only actions, sessions, or themes. (#9)
  • A new sidebar. Recent, Folders, and Archived tabs, groups that fold, pinned sessions, a bar that slides to the open session, a resizable edge, and Ctrl/⌘+B to fold it into numbered sessions, like Waybar's workspaces. (#9)
  • Keyboard. Alt+1…9 jumps to a session, Alt+↑/↓ steps through them, Alt+N starts one, and ? lists every shortcut. (#9)
  • A fastfetch-style home screen on wide screens. (#9)

Appearance settings and pins are kept per browser; nothing new is stored on the server.

To update an existing install:

git pull
npm install

Then restart Pi Pocket: the Desktop theme uses a new server route.

Forks, plan mode, goals, scheduled messages, git worktrees, spend limits, approvals from your lock screen, drop-in extensions, and more.

  • Forks, edit and resend, retry with another model. Fork from any reply, or send a message again, edited or to another model, in a new session that ends just before it. (#8)
  • Plan mode. The Plan chip or /plan: Pi reads and proposes a plan, and nothing changes until someone approves it. (#8)
  • Done when. /until npm test: Pi keeps going until the check passes, for five checks at most. (#8)
  • Scheduled messages. /schedule every weekday 8:00 …, or Pi's own schedule tool. They go out on time, also after a restart, and once. (#8)
  • Worktree sessions. A new session or a fork can work on its own git branch, in its own checkout. (#8)
  • Changes. Menu → Changes: the folder's uncommitted changes, marked where Pi made them, with each diff a tap away. (#8)
  • Spend and limits. Menu → Spend: what Pi cost per person and per session. The owner can set limits; a run that crosses one stops. (#8)
  • Running now. Everything at work in your sessions, with Stop. (#8)
  • Approvals from notifications. Allow or deny from the lock screen, and the home-screen icon counts the sessions that need you. The owner can require that someone other than whoever asked allows a call. (#8)
  • Share to Pi. With Pi Pocket on an Android home screen, share links, text, and screenshots from any app. (#8)
  • Session instructions, prompt templates as slash commands, /reset with a handoff note, and Markdown export. (#8)
  • Drop-in extensions. Put a .ts module in ~/.pi-pocket/extensions/ and turn it on in Menu → Extensions. It loads without a restart. (#8)
  • Fixes. Who asked for work survives a crash, spend goes to whoever caused it, a goal check cut off by a restart is not run again, and the app no longer stops loading after several full page loads over plain HTTP. (#8)

How Pi Pocket is built: engineering page.

Spend per person counts from the first start of 0.3.0; what was spent before shows for its sessions only. Drop-in extensions and "Approvals need someone else" stay off until you turn them on.

To update an existing install:

git pull
npm install

Then restart Pi Pocket.

Lancet Guard is now off by default, and the invite code is easier to spot.

  • Lancet Guard is off by default. Turn it on in Menu → Extensions. It still runs only when it is also on in Pi (~/.pi/lancet-guard.json). Your choice is saved and survives restarts. (#7)
  • A clearer invite code. The invite sheet shows the code under the QR code, in large type with its own Copy button, so it is easy to read out or type on the other device's sign-in screen. Spaces in a typed code are ignored. (#7)
  • Plainer website. The GitHub Pages site now describes each feature in plain language. (#7)

If you use Lancet Guard: unless you had turned it off in Pi Pocket before, it is off after this update. Turn it on once in Menu → Extensions.

To update an existing install:

git pull
npm install

Then restart Pi Pocket.
