Fixes

  • Telnet CHARSET (RFC 2066): accept WILL/DO, handle REQUEST/ACCEPTED, switch encoding
  • Default encoding is now UTF-8 (fixes ☘ / shamrock mojibake on modern MUDs like Steam Arkana / eden-test)
  • On WILL CHARSET, optimistically switch to UTF-8 even if the server skips the REQUEST SB
