Plugin for using TartuNLP machine translation API v2 in SDL Trados Studio 2017 or 2019.

Installation

To install the plugin, download the appropriate .sdlplugin file depending on your Studio version from the releases section and open it. The installation window should open.

After installing it, the plugin should be available in SDL Trados Studio. The Engine is called "TartuNLP".

Updates:

• Tags are only translated if the MT engine supports tags.
• Better detection of which language pairs are supported.
• It is possible to see what domain is configured in the MT providers interface.

• Fixes issues when pretranslating with translation memories

Known issues and limitations:

• The plugin does not check whether the language pair is supported before sending the request. In case of unidirectional MT models (when querying translations in a language that is only supported as an input language), this can cause low-quality responses. For symmetrical models, a relevant error will appear in the "Messages" section.
• Configuring multiple plugin instances for different domains is not user-friendly as they are all named TartuNLP
• Code has not been made compatible with Studio 2021 (yet).

If you have any previous installations of the plugin on your machine, delete it using Sdl Plugin Management software.

• Does not process tags
• Inefficient pretranslation
• Unreliable usage when combined with Translation Memories
• May cause installation conflicts with our older plugins and OpenNMT plugin

Plugin for Neurotõlge Machine Translation engine 1.1 and SDL Trados Studio 2019. With this version, only English -> Estonian translation is possible. The fields in the configuration dialog window are pre-filled as necessary. The source and target languages are taken from the project settings.

Installation

To install the plugin, download and open the .sdlplugin file. The installation window should open.

After installing it, the plugin should be available in SDL Trados Studio. The Engine is called "Neurotolge Plugin 2".
If you have any previous installations of the plugin on your machine, delete it under the following folder(s):

C:\Users{your username}\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15\Plugins\Packages
C:\Users{your username}\AppData\Local\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15\Plugins\Packages
