Carbon v0.3.0 — self-contained desktop app

Choose a tag to compare

@TaxCollector23 TaxCollector23 released this 16 Aug 18:09

Desktop app 0.2.0 — now self-contained

The Tauri desktop app now bundles the carbon CLI as a sidecar, so end users
no longer need Node, npm, or a separate CLI install. Point the app at a spec and
it boots the stateful runtime entirely from inside the .app.

  • Carbon-Desktop-0.2.0-macos-arm64.zip — macOS (Apple silicon) .app, unsigned beta
  • The sidecar is resolved next to the executable and falls back to carbon on PATH in dev
  • Added a per-OS desktop build matrix to the release workflow (macOS arm64/x64, Linux, Windows)

CLI

Standalone carbon binaries unchanged at 0.2.1 (attached for a self-contained release).
Install via npm i -g carbon-api or brew install carbon-dev/carbon/carbon.

Verify

shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS.txt
