Simplified for Swofty v0.11.2
Simplified for Swofty 0.11.2 works with Swofty Launcher 1.3.0 and later.
Changes
- Whole archives become overlays. A mod imported while the game folder was missing one of its archives carried that archive whole, replacing what other addons change in it. Once the game has the archive again, the next launcher start keeps only the resources the mod changes or adds, as importing it then would.
Simplified for Swofty v0.11.1
Simplified for Swofty 0.11.1 works with Swofty Launcher 1.3.0 and later.
Changes
- Version on the About page. The About page shows which version of Simplified for Swofty you have.
Simplified for Swofty v0.11.0
Simplified for Swofty 0.11.0 works with Swofty Launcher 1.3.0 and later.
Changes
-
Categories from what a mod replaces. A mod that uses the game's shader packages gets its category from what they replace:
- Cars: a team, My Team, the car performance or the tyres.
- Seasons: three or more teams.
- Tracks: the sponsor boards.
Every other mod, copy-and-paste mods included, is Uncategorised. Track packages stay under Tracks.
-
About page. Team Simplified's logo and a short about Team Simplified, with links to their GitHub and the Simplified Suite.
Mods you already imported
They're re-categorised when the launcher starts. Mods imported before 0.10.0 stay Uncategorised until you import them again.
Simplified for Swofty v0.10.1
Simplified for Swofty 0.10.1 works with Swofty Launcher 1.3.0 and later.
Changes
- Every converted mod is tagged Simplified again. 0.10.0 marked mods that don't use the shader packages as Copy & Paste, which the launcher shows as Installed. They're tagged Simplified when the launcher starts, and new imports are too.
- Descriptions stay. A mod that uses the shader packages still says what it replaces, such as "Replaces the Ferrari team.", and whether Simplified Studio made it.
Simplified for Swofty v0.10.0
Simplified for Swofty 0.10.0 works with Swofty Launcher 1.3.0 and later.
Changes
- Simplified or Copy & Paste. A mod that uses the game's shader packages, such as one made with Simplified Studio or a My Team package, is a Simplified mod: it loads with the SERPs Base Files and is tagged Simplified. Every other mod is tagged Copy & Paste. The Copy & Paste tag needs a launcher with Swofty-Developments/SwoftyLauncher#225; until then, those mods show as Installed.
- Clearer descriptions. A mod's description lists what it changes, such as "1052 car assets, 8 UI assets, 469 game assets." A Simplified mod first says what it replaces, such as "Replaces the Ferrari team.", and "Made using the Simplified Studio." when the mod says which Studio version made it.
Mods you already imported
They're relabelled and their descriptions are tidied when the launcher starts, with nothing to do. Import a Simplified mod again to add the "Replaces …" sentence.
Simplified for Swofty v0.9.0
Simplified for Swofty 0.9.0 works with Swofty Launcher 1.3.0 and later.
Changes
- SERPs Base Files come with the addon. Mods made with Simplified Studio and My Team packages are built on Team Simplified's SERPs Base Files for F1 25. Version 4.1 now ships with the addon, so there's nothing extra to import.
- They load when needed. The base files load only while a mod that needs them is on, in place of the game's
vfx_packageand 2025 and 2026 teamscommon.erparchives, just as the Simplified Launcher installs them. - My Team mods load. My Team packages, such as LN4 Fusion F1 Team's, no longer hang on the loading screen, and their livery shows.
Before you update
Studio and My Team mods you imported before 0.9.0 don't know they need the base files yet. Import them again to make them use the base files.
The download is about 54 MB bigger, because it now carries the base files.
Simplified for Swofty v0.8.0
Simplified for Swofty 0.8.0 works with Swofty Launcher 1.3.0 and later. Swofty Launcher 1.3.3 adds its own Simplified Importer naming, gives it a sidebar group and tags its addons Simplified.
Changes
- New name: the addon is now Simplified for Swofty. Its importer is still the Simplified Importer.
- No library:
- A mod is unpacked only while it converts. After that, it's deleted, and only its addon is kept.
- To redo a mod, import it again. It replaces the same addon.
- Mods from an existing library convert at the next start and then leave the library.
- Shader packages: a mod's shader resources load from its own archive again. The game's shader packages are never changed, and existing mods convert once more on the next start.
- Vehicle shadow: Simplified Studio's vehicle shadow material is left out again, so it no longer replaces the game's.
.serpsfiles are refused. A.serpsdescribes a mod and isn't the mod itself, so import the mod's zip, 7z, rar or folder. Mods that contain amod.serpsstill import.- SERPs Base Files: these are no longer turned on with Simplified Studio mods. Support for them will come another way.
- Simpler page: the importer page is now just the Import a mod card.
