A civic institution for reliable communication, operated locally as cooperatives, connected globally through protocol, grounded in the human right to seek, receive, and impart information.
The Digital Post is a concept document for a civic digital infrastructure — an alternative to commercially captured communication networks. It draws on the tradition of the postal commons: universal service, local stewardship, federated coordination, and the principle that reliable communication is a public good, not a product.
The document articulates foundation, architecture, and applications for a cooperatively operated, protocol-grounded communication layer.
