Meld v1.9.1
Compatibility release for Arnis fork 3.1.0. No new features.
Fixed
- Scale is checked before a render starts. The generator now rejects a scale
outside 0.01 to 4.0, and a country render is thousands of cells, so a bad value
used to fail all of them. Meld pulls the value back into range instead, when you
save it and again when it builds the command. - Infinity and NaN fall back to 1:1 rather than being clamped. Clamping infinity
would have started a 4:1 render of your whole selection. - The Scale box has an upper bound and tells you when a value is out of range.
Changed
- Image signage is held off. Arnis 3.1.0 turns it on by default. It stores its
signs as map data inside each cell, and that data is not carried across the
merge, so a finished world would be full of blank picture frames. Meld now states
the setting instead of inheriting it.

Windows — Meld.exe starts in the tray with no window. Run
packaging\Create-Shortcut.ps1 for a desktop icon. First launch shows a SmartScreen
warning because the build is unsigned: More info → Run anyway.
macOS — the build is not notarised, so Gatekeeper blocks it: open
System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway.
Linux — run packaging/install-shortcut.sh for a launcher entry. GNOME has no
tray without the AppIndicator extension; ./Meld --no-tray works regardless.
