v1.0.68 is a fix release. The image viewer asks before it replaces the sleep image, the web Files page sends a folder listing in chunks so it no longer holds the X3 web server for minutes, and the Fonts tab of File Transfer takes variable font files as 1 family. tenor/ugly gives the previous default font back when Shantell Sans is deleted while tenor/ugly holds the reader font.

• Tested on real hardware: the X3 runs this release to the home screen; on a measurement build from the same source, the Files page loaded the folder listing 5 times in a row without stalling, deleting Shantell Sans while tenor/ugly held the font and then leaving tenor/ugly brought Bokerlam back, and the image viewer asked before replacing the sleep image. The X4 Classic runs this release to the home screen, and the image viewer asked first on its measurement build. X4 Pro, measurement build from the same source: the image viewer asked first, and Cancel left the sleep image as it was.

Image viewer

• Confirm on an open image copies the image over the sleep image and switches the sleep screen to it. The viewer now asks first, with Set Cover? and the file name. Cancel redraws the image and leaves the sleep image as it was. Before, 1 press replaced the sleep image at once. This change comes from CrossPoint (#3994).

Web file transfer

• Files page: the device now sends the folder listing in chunks of about 1 KB. This fixes a listing that could hold the X3 web server for minutes right after the Files page loaded.
• Fonts tab: variable font files such as Literata[opsz,wght].ttf with Literata-Italic[opsz,wght].ttf now count as 1 family, and so do names ending in -VariableFont_wght. Before, the page read them as 2 families and refused them.
• Fonts tab: when a send breaks halfway through a new family, the page says how many files arrived and asks you to delete that family before sending it again, since the next send stops at the files already there.

tenor/ugly

• Deleting the ShantellSans pack while tenor/ugly holds the reader font no longer leaves you on the built-in font: leaving tenor/ugly gives the previous default font back. A font you pick yourself while in tenor/ugly stays when you leave.

Known limits

• WebDAV from the Finder still writes NFD file names, and NFD names already on the card are not converted.
• The X4 Classic still has no Bluetooth: its app slot is too small for the Bluetooth stack.
• X4 Pro: reconnecting the remote after the device sleeps and wakes has not been tried.
• A card that locks up completely is not recovered by the automatic restart. Take the card out, put it back in, and turn the device on again.
• X4 Pro: fast typing by touch on the on-screen keyboard has not been measured for dropped touches.
• WebDAV: after a pull finishes, leave the WebDAV screen and open it again to pull more.
• X4 Pro: the WebDAV screen works with the buttons only, touch is not wired yet.
• X3: the web server can still stall for a minute or two when 2 browser tabs load heavy pages at the same moment. It recovers by itself.
• If the device is short of memory, a 16 MB font pack sent through the web page installs at the next restart, which spends about 1 minute on the boot screen.

• Bấm Xác nhận khi đang mở ảnh sẽ chép ảnh đó đè lên ảnh màn hình ngủ. Bây giờ máy hỏi lại, kèm câu Đặt ảnh màn hình ngủ? và tên tệp. Chọn Hủy sẽ vẽ lại ảnh và giữ nguyên ảnh màn hình ngủ. Trước đây, bấm Xác nhận 1 lần đã thay ảnh màn hình ngủ ngay. Thay đổi này lấy từ CrossPoint (#3994).

Gửi file qua web

• Trang Tệp nay gửi danh sách thư mục theo từng khúc khoảng 1 KB. Bản này sửa lỗi yêu cầu tải danh sách ngay sau khi mở trang Tệp có thể giữ máy chủ web của X3 trong nhiều phút.

Còn vướng

• WebDAV từ Finder vẫn ghi tên tệp ở dạng NFD, và các tên NFD đã có trên thẻ vẫn giữ nguyên.
• X4 Classic vẫn chưa có Bluetooth vì vùng bộ nhớ dành cho ứng dụng quá nhỏ để chứa phần mềm Bluetooth.
• X4 Pro: chưa thử khả năng bộ lật trang kết nối lại sau khi máy thức dậy từ chế độ ngủ.
• Khi thẻ nhớ bị kẹt cứng, khởi động lại máy vẫn không khắc phục được. Rút thẻ ra, cắm lại rồi bật máy.

Fonts

• X3 and X4: the Fonts tab of File Transfer now accepts a TTF or OTF file. The page converts it in the browser to the device format (.cpfont) in sizes 12, 14, 16 and 18, then sends the files to the device as 1 family. Pick 1 file per style (regular, bold, italic) of the same font; a lone bold or italic file becomes the regular style. Vietnamese letters the font lacks are drawn from the font's own marks or from a fallback font, and the page says how many. A family already on the device is not overwritten: delete it on the same page first to replace it. A font named like one in the Font Library is saved with -2 at the end of its name.
• X4 Classic and X4 Pro keep taking TTF and OTF files as they are.
• A .cpfont family without a regular style is now refused, and the reader uses the built-in font instead. Before, a family holding only bold or italic crashed the reader.
• The settings row Manage Fonts is now Get Fonts, and the screen it opens is Font Library (Settings > Reader > Get Fonts). It downloads fonts from the catalog only; fonts of your own go through the Fonts tab of File Transfer.

Web file transfer

• EPUB optimizer on the Files page: a new Keep KOReader sync option, on by default. It only shrinks JPEG and PNG images to the screen, in the same format and under the same name. Progressive JPEG images, which the device showed blurred at 1/8 resolution, and interlaced PNG images are always rewritten. Text and file names stay unchanged, and the book carries the KOReader id of the original file, so KOReader on another device holding the original keeps syncing with it.
• Untick Keep KOReader sync to get the old optimizer: it splits long images and turns GIF and WebP images into JPEG. The page then shows the old warning that this can break sync.
• The web pages stored in the firmware are smaller: comment lines in their scripts are dropped. This frees room for the features in this release.

tenor/ugly

• tenor/ugly reads in Shantell Sans when the ShantellSans font pack is on the card. Download it from the Font Library (Settings > Reader > Get Fonts) once it is listed there. The font only changes while the reader font is still the default one; a font you picked yourself stays. Leaving tenor/ugly gives the previous default font back. Text in some books no longer sticks to the first word of the next block, the web upload page sends file names in composed form (NFC), and an X3 keeps its motion settings when the sensor misses a boot. • The chapter cache format moves to version 57. The first time you open each chapter after the update, the device rebuilds the cache for that chapter, so its first page takes the usual first-open time. This happens once per chapter.
• Tested on real hardware: the X3 runs this release. A measurement build from the same source opened a 30-chapter book on the X3, turned 40 pages and moved to the next chapter with Bluetooth on, kept as much free memory as v1.0.65, and showed a test book with two<div>three as 2 separate lines. The X4 Pro ran a measurement build from the same source and turned 60 pages. The X4 Classic runs this release, flashed by cable, and a measurement build from the same source turned 40 pages, opened the reader menu and went back to Home.

Reading

• Text that runs straight into a heading or a block, such as two<div>three in converted or scraped books, no longer sticks to the first word of the new block (twothree). The leftover text stayed in the part-word buffer and was glued onto the next word. It now ends as its own paragraph before the block starts, as it already did before a line break.
• Dictionary: a definition too long for the free memory now shows Not enough memory instead of crashing the device. The definition screen makes a plain-text copy as big as the definition, and the device now checks for room before it makes that copy.
• File search now lists .xtch books. The reader and the folder view already opened them, only the search skipped them.

Web file transfer

• Files uploaded from the browser page now go out with their names in composed form (NFC). A Mac hands the browser decomposed (NFD) names, for example Vietnamese names with tone marks, and the duplicate check missed a file of the same name already on the card in NFC. Only the browser upload page changes: WebDAV from the Finder still sends NFD names, and files already on the card with NFD names keep them.
• A dialog no longer closes when a text selection ends outside it, for example while selecting the name in Rename. It now closes only when both the press and the release land on the dark area around it.

X3

• If the motion sensor does not answer during one boot, the next save no longer drops the 12 saved Gestures settings. Before, that save left them out of the settings file and the next normal boot read the defaults. While the sensor is missing, those rows stay hidden on the device and on the web settings page.

X4 Pro and tenor/ugly

• The Connecting and Connected screens cut a long network name by width only. Before, the line was first cut at a fixed byte count, which could split a Vietnamese character and show a replacement box. A long name in plain letters now shows in full when it fits. Not yet checked on a real network with such a name.

Known limits

• WebDAV from the Finder still writes NFD file names, and NFD names already on the card are not converted.
• The X4 Classic still has no Bluetooth: its app slot is too small for the Bluetooth stack.
• X4 Pro: reconnecting the remote after the device sleeps and wakes has not been tried.
• A card that locks up completely is not recovered by the automatic restart. Take the card out, put it back in, and turn the device on again.
• X4 Pro: fast typing by touch on the on-screen keyboard has not been measured for dropped touches.
• WebDAV: after a pull finishes, leave the WebDAV screen and open it again to pull more.
• X4 Pro: the WebDAV screen works with the buttons only, touch is not wired yet.

• Bluetooth runs while a book is open and on the Bluetooth turner screen. Leaving the book turns it off; open a book again and the remote reconnects within a few seconds.
• Pages keep their gray anti-aliasing while a remote is connected. The black and white page snapshot now lives in PSRAM, which leaves internal RAM for Bluetooth.
• Tested on an X4 Pro with a Bluetooth HID keyboard as the remote: paired from the Bluetooth turner screen, 60 presses turned 60 pages, all with gray. A remote switched off and on again reconnects at once, and stays connected through 60 seconds idle.

• The black and white snapshot used for gray rendering now lives in PSRAM, which frees about 48 KB of internal RAM. 100 page turns on a measurement build, 0 errors.

All devices

• Fast repeated button presses are no longer dropped. In a 20-press test the X3 and X4 Classic handled all 20; v1.0.63 handled 16 on the X3 and 15 on the X4 Classic.
• On-screen keyboard: a long press that ends while the screen is refreshing now counts as a long press (backspace, space, cursor mode, clear). It used to count as a short tap.
• The dictionary matches Vietnamese phrases more closely and always orders the results the same way.
• With Bluetooth on and no page turner paired, the radio stays off while you read. In that case the "Invalid book" error and the out-of-memory restart are gone. After you forget the last paired page turner, the next book also keeps the radio off.
• A chapter that runs out of memory while decompressing now frees memory and loads again.
• The SD card error screen tells you in Vietnamese, English and Chinese to take the card out, put it back in, and turn the device off and on.
• The old reading position stays until the new one is fully written, so a card fault during a save does not lose your page.

X3

• If the SD card stops answering while you read, the device restarts and reopens the same page, at most once per power-on. If the card still does not answer, the device stops on the SD card error screen.

X4 Classic and X4 Pro

• WebDAV: download EPUB books from a WebDAV server to the SD card. Each EPUB is checked before it replaces a file on the card. A folder with no EPUB files ends the download normally. Accounts with an empty password can download. File names with an ellipsis, such as "Story... vol 1.epub", download correctly. Back cancels a running download. A dropped connection is reported as a download error.

X4 Pro

• Fast repeated button presses are no longer dropped. The keys are read on the 10 ms sample timer, and touch stays on the main loop. In a 20-press test with synthetic presses the X4 Pro registered all 20; the build before the fix registered 5.
• The WebDAV screen has the bottom bar and back button like the other network screens.

Mọi máy

• Bấm nút nhanh liên tiếp không còn mất lần bấm. Trong bài thử 20 lần bấm, X3 và X4 Classic xử lý đủ 20 lần; v1.0.63 xử lý 16 lần trên X3 và 15 lần trên X4 Classic.
• Bàn phím trên màn hình: giữ lâu một phím mà nhả ra lúc màn đang làm mới thì máy vẫn tính là giữ lâu (xoá lùi, dấu cách, chế độ con trỏ, xoá hết). Trước đây máy tính thao tác này là bấm ngắn.
• Từ điển tra cụm từ tiếng Việt khớp sát hơn và luôn xếp kết quả theo cùng một thứ tự.
• Khi Bluetooth bật mà chưa ghép máy lật trang nào, Bluetooth tắt trong lúc đọc sách. Nhờ vậy máy hết báo "Sách không hợp lệ" và hết tự khởi động lại vì thiếu bộ nhớ trong trường hợp này. Xoá máy lật trang cuối cùng khỏi danh sách đã ghép thì lần mở sách sau Bluetooth cũng tắt.
• Thiếu bộ nhớ khi giải nén một chương thì máy giải phóng bộ nhớ rồi mở lại chương đó.
• Màn báo lỗi thẻ nhớ hiện bằng tiếng Việt, tiếng Anh và tiếng Trung, hướng dẫn rút thẻ ra, cắm lại rồi tắt và bật máy.
• Máy giữ vị trí đọc cũ cho tới khi ghi xong vị trí mới, nên thẻ trục trặc đúng lúc lưu cũng không làm mất trang đang đọc.

X3

• Thẻ nhớ ngừng phản hồi trong lúc đọc thì máy tự khởi động lại và mở đúng trang đang đọc, tối đa 1 lần mỗi lần bật máy. Thẻ vẫn không phản hồi thì máy dừng ở màn báo lỗi thẻ.

X4 Classic và X4 Pro

• WebDAV: tải sách EPUB từ máy chủ WebDAV xuống thẻ nhớ. Máy kiểm tra từng tệp EPUB trước khi ghi đè tệp trên thẻ. Thư mục không có tệp EPUB nào thì lượt tải kết thúc bình thường. Tài khoản để trống mật khẩu vẫn tải được. Tên tệp có dấu ba chấm, như "Truyện... tập 1.epub", vẫn tải đúng. Nút Back huỷ lượt tải đang chạy. Mất mạng giữa chừng thì máy báo lỗi tải xuống.

X4 Pro

• Bấm nút nhanh liên tiếp không còn mất lần bấm. Máy đọc nút trên bộ lấy mẫu 10 ms, còn cảm ứng vẫn đọc trong vòng lặp chính. Trong bài thử 20 lần bấm nút giả, X4 Pro nhận đủ 20 lần; bản dựng trước bản sửa nhận 5 lần.
• Màn WebDAV có thanh dưới đáy và nút quay lại như các màn mạng khác.

Còn vướng

• Thẻ nhớ kẹt cứng thì lượt tự khởi động lại không cứu được. Rút thẻ ra, cắm lại rồi bật máy.
• X4 Pro: gõ nhanh bằng cách chạm phím ảo trên màn hình chưa được đo xem có mất lần chạm hay không.
• WebDAV: kéo xong một lượt, muốn kéo tiếp thì thoát màn WebDAV rồi vào lại.

• Button presses are no longer lost when you type fast. On the Wi-Fi password keyboard a real device registered 20 of 20 synthetic presses instead of 5 of 20. The 10 ms button sampler now runs for the X4 Classic GPIO buttons.
• Home draws the book cover in the tenor/ink 1 bit style.

X3, X4 and X4 Pro

• Behaviour is unchanged from v1.0.62.

Known limits

• X4 Classic: the cable flash, boot and fast typing with synthetic presses were measured on a real device. Real finger presses, over-the-air and SD card updates have not been tried.
• X4 Pro: this release does not change X4 Pro code and was not flashed to a real X4 Pro; over the air has not been tried either.
• The button queue holds 8 presses. Typing faster than 1 press every 0.6 seconds still drops the extra presses, and the text lags because each press costs a frame.
• On the X4 Classic, Back cannot yet cancel a running firmware update or OPDS download; the press is queued and returned late.
• The X4 Classic Home screen may keep a faint ghost of an older cover after about 10 book changes.
• The page number on the return button can be an old one in 1 narrow case: you change text size and jump at once, while the chapter is still being laid out. Back still returns to the right place; only the number on the button is off.
• A fast-join hint that fails once is dropped until the access point changes, so later rounds spend about 3.5 seconds scanning instead of joining fast.

X3 and X4

• The return button after a jump from the table of contents, a percentage, a quote, a link or a search result keeps the right page number when you change text size or layout in between. While the new page number is unknown, the button shows ‹ without a number.

• With the KOReader Automatic sync switch on: after at least 30 minutes of sleep, the first book opened from Home, or a device that wakes straight into a book, pulls progress before the first frame. The device restarts once before that frame so Bluetooth comes up with it. The page is no longer drawn twice, and Bluetooth no longer restarts the device again after about 25 seconds. On a real X3, Bluetooth is up 0.1 seconds after the first frame.

• A remembered Wi-Fi access point that fails once is skipped next time and the device scans straight away, saving a 4 second wait. The network phase keeps its 12 second ceiling, with at most 8 seconds to join Wi-Fi so the progress request still has time.

• The Fonts screen no longer shows a false Update. Update all skips packages that have not changed.

• Settings > Display has 1 row, Status bar, in place of the 2 rows Global status bar and Button hints. 5 choices: Hide all, Clock and battery at top, Large clock and battery at top, Small bottom strip, Large bottom strip. Old pins of those 2 rows merge into 1 row in Favorites.

• Files: Back from a folder right under the root goes straight to the Files tab of Home and remembers the selected row. From /books/doi-song/chien-tranh to Home takes 3 presses of Back instead of 4. The Reopen row on the Files tab shows only when the last folder is deeper than the root list.

• On the X4 Classic, a device with no saved reading menu style opens the Toolbar by default, and Back from a folder right under the root goes straight to the Files tab of Home, as on the X3.

• Khi ô Đồng bộ tự động của KOReader đang bật: sau giấc ngủ từ 30 phút, cuốn đầu tiên mở từ Màn chính hoặc máy thức vào thẳng sách sẽ kéo tiến độ trước khung đầu. Máy khởi động lại 1 lần trước khung đầu để Bluetooth lên cùng lúc. Trang không còn vẽ 2 lần, và Bluetooth không còn tự khởi động lại thêm 1 lần sau khoảng 25 giây. Trên X3 thật, Bluetooth lên 0,1 giây sau khung đầu.

• Điểm Wi-Fi nhớ hỏng 1 lần thì lượt sau quét nối thẳng, đỡ 4 giây chờ mỗi lần. Pha mạng giữ trần 12 giây, trong đó nối Wi-Fi tối đa 8 giây để còn thời gian cho lượt hỏi tiến độ.

X3, X4 and X4 Pro

• After a jump from the table of contents, a percentage, a quote, a link, or a search result, the device remembers the page you left. The status bar shows ‹ p. N, where N is the page you return to. On the X3 and X4, a short press of Back takes you there.
• Weight has 9 steps, from -3 to +5. Noto Serif and Noto Sans add 3 lighter steps: -1, -2, and -3.
• KOReader Sync settings have a new Automatic sync switch, off by default. When it is on, the device uploads your place when it goes to sleep. When the device wakes straight into the book (Wake into the book turned on in Settings) after at least 30 minutes of sleep, it pulls a place saved by another device, and Back returns you to the page you were on. TXT and XTC books are left out of automatic sync.
• Book titles with a long subtitle after a colon show in short form on every screen that shows the title. A closing bracket such as "(tenor version)" stays. The title inside the book file does not change.
• Back stops a clippings export that is running. A clippings folder that cannot be opened now shows an error.
• Renaming a book updates its white placeholder cover on Home.
• The KOReader sync screen no longer shows "Device name: null". Sync Behavior is now called Manual sync, with the choices Ask first and Take the further place.

X4 Pro

• Search in book: reading menu > More > Search in book. Typing without accents still finds accented text. Tap a result to go to its page.
• After a jump, the bottom bar shows for 3 seconds with a ‹ button, the page you return to, and a countdown. Tap ‹ to go back. A swipe from the left edge also goes back.

X3

• The reading menu opens straight on the Favorites list. The side buttons switch tabs, the front Left and Right buttons move between rows, and Back closes the menu. The page in the chapter and the book percentage are on the Select Chapter screen.
• While Favorites is empty, the pinning tip sits inside the list box. Once you pin the first item, the tip goes away.
• Home screen has 2 more styles, Shelf and Big cover, in Settings > Display > Home screen.

• The Send file page has an Export clippings link. It downloads My Clippings.txt in Kindle format with every saved quote, its book, chapter, and page.
• Sort the File screen by name, modified date, or size in Settings > System. The File screen remembers the last folder after sleep. The Folder card on Home starts with Reopen: <folder name> and opens that folder directly.
• The 12 week view has 3 pages, with 4 weeks of 7 days on each page. The By hour page is also available. Both charts have 2 y axes. The 12 week chart uses reading time as bars and average minutes per session as a line. The By hour chart uses reading time as bars and session count as a line.
• File search keeps results in relevance order.

X4 Pro

• Home: entering the Recent tab, switching books and leaving the tab each take 1 fast redraw in place. v1.0.58 ran a full-screen 4-level gray pass when entering Recent and a full refresh when leaving. Measured on a real X4 Pro: 485 ms, 478 ms and 610 ms, with no gray pass and no full refresh.
• 1-bit covers on Home are dithered like on the X3. Before, every gray level of the cover turned black, so covers showed as solid black with broken text.
• The tenor/cross sleep screen shows its artwork. Before, it fell back to the plain "Sleeping" screen.
• Vietnamese Telex typing on the on-screen keyboard, with a VI/EN key. Password fields for OPDS and KOReader sync hide what you type. English keys are no longer clipped at keyboard sizes 1 and 2.
• Touch and hold to reorder the Home tabs, the Text settings tabs, Favorites on Home and Favorites in the reading menu. The order is shared with the X3.
• Quotes respond to taps. Touch and hold a file on the Home File tab for the full menu (pin, rename, delete). Images have a "Set as sleep image" pill. A favourite whose file is gone says so. Confirmation dialogs widen to fit their title.
• File search: pull down at the top of the file list to show the search field. Search covers subfolders up to 5 levels deep and stops on Back.
• Cable flashing: the release build accepts firmware over the USB cable with tools/nap.py. The device asks you to confirm on screen first. Holding POWER and DOWN opens recovery. A new build that fails to start falls back to the previous one. Updates that would remove the cable channel are refused.

X3

• Reader status bar, custom mode: the middle item can show the chapter page together with the book percentage again, so all 5 items fit (battery, chapter title, chapter page, book percentage, clock). The chapter title is back in the bottom strip, as in v1.0.53. The battery is drawn with rounded corners and the clock keeps the same spacing as the default mode. If you had set the middle item to the chapter page, it switches once to page and percentage.
• New "Button hints" switch in Display. With it off, the clock and battery move to the top of the screen, and the reading menu hides the hints too. If you had turned the shared status bar off before, the hints stay hidden after the update.
• Rename files from the file menu (Pin, Rename, Delete).
• Reading habits no longer gets stuck when the explanation runs longer than 1 page.
• tenor/ugly: tips only name buttons that work on that screen.

Both devices

• Recent keeps 7 books, up from 5.
• Gray icons on the tab bars use a solid 2-pixel line.
• tenor/ugly: quotations are written by hand with doodles in the empty space around them.
• Opening a book with many links reads far less from the card: a book with 399 links read 2,234,400 bytes before and reads 19,950 bytes now.
• Page turns keep the page cache when memory runs low and skip text layout outside the gray strip. The look-ahead step yields to key presses and the Bluetooth page turner.
• Wi-Fi and updates: Back cancels the update check, the web transfer and WebDAV. The update screen redraws its progress less often. The settings list is released before Wi-Fi starts.
• File transfer web page: tabs and selects are easier to tap on a phone, long file names wrap at spaces, and the Wi-Fi and OPDS cards are translated. On the X4 Pro you can upload TTF and OTF fonts, as single files, several files or a whole family folder.

Fixed since v1.0.59-rc.1

• X3: indexing a book with very many chapters for the first time keeps free memory above the level the firmware holds for Bluetooth. Measured on a real X3: the lowest free memory went from 6,720 bytes to 15,800 bytes over the whole test run, and the table of contents step from 2,338 ms to 1,875 ms.
• X4 Pro cable flashing: the device's reply lines arrive whole, so tools/nap.py no longer reports a false roll back to the previous build. Measured: 10 of 10 reads came back complete.
• X3 quotation detail: the page count appears only when a quotation runs longer than 1 page, and the bottom bar drops a duplicate "…" pill.

Known issues

• X4 Pro: if you cancel a cable flash while a book is open, the device goes back to the screen before the book. The book keeps its page. This will be fixed in v1.0.60.
• X4 Pro: the recovery keys (hold POWER and DOWN) have not been tried on a real device yet.
• The first page turn after the periodic full refresh can be slower while a chapter is still being laid out.
• X4 Classic is not part of this release and keeps its separate v1.0.55-x4c-beta pre-release.

  • X4 Pro: tên tệp tenor-cross-v1.0.59-x4pro.bin, dung lượng 6.378.224 byte, SHA-256 cf1a36fdc637976bec252c2cace4e64a356b0706788a0e4353ebf5396aea0329. Chép vào gốc thẻ với tên firmware.bin rồi cập nhật từ menu máy. Chỉ dùng cho X4 Pro.
• X4 Pro đang chạy v1.0.56, v1.0.57, v1.0.58 hoặc v1.0.59-rc.1 cập nhật lên bản này qua mạng, ở Cài đặt > Thông tin & cập nhật > Kiểm tra cập nhật. Máy chạy bản cũ hơn v1.0.56 thì cài bản này 1 lần từ thẻ nhớ. Chỉ dùng firmware X4 Pro cho X4 Pro.
• X4 Pro nạp qua cáp USB: máy đang chạy v1.0.59-rc.1 trở lên nhận firmware này qua cáp bằng tools/nap.py trong gói mã nguồn. Giải nén gói mã nguồn, đứng trong thư mục đó chạy python3 tools/nap.py tenor-cross-v1.0.59-x4pro.bin bằng Python có pyserial và esptool (Python của PlatformIO có sẵn cả 2), rồi xác nhận trên màn máy. Thêm --dry-run để kiểm tệp và máy mà chưa ghi gì. Máy chạy v1.0.58 trở về trước chưa có kênh nạp qua cáp, cần cập nhật qua mạng hoặc từ thẻ nhớ trước.
• Gói font giữ nguyên như v1.0.58, không cần tải lại.

X4 Pro

• Màn chính: vào thẻ Gần đây, đổi sách và rời thẻ đều chỉ 1 lượt làm tươi nhanh tại chỗ. Ở v1.0.58, vào Gần đây chạy 1 lượt xám 4 mức toàn màn, rời thẻ chạy 1 lượt làm tươi toàn màn. Đo trên X4 Pro thật: 485 ms, 478 ms và 610 ms, không lượt xám, không lượt toàn màn.
• Bìa 1 bit ở màn chính được chấm điểm như trên X3. Trước đây mọi mức xám của bìa bị ép thành đen, bìa ra một mảng đen, chữ đứt nét.
• Màn ngủ tenor/cross hiện đúng hình. Trước đây máy rơi về màn "Sleeping" trơn.
• Bàn phím trên màn hình gõ được tiếng Việt kiểu Telex, có phím VI/EN. Ô mật khẩu OPDS và KOReader sync che chữ khi gõ. Phím tiếng Anh hết bị cắt ở cỡ bàn phím 1 và 2.
• Chạm giữ để sắp lại thứ tự thẻ màn chính, thẻ Cài đặt văn bản, Yêu thích ở màn chính và Yêu thích trong menu đọc. Thứ tự dùng chung với X3.
• Trích dẫn nhận chạm. Chạm giữ một tệp ở thẻ File màn chính để mở đủ menu (Ghim, Đổi tên, Xoá). Ảnh có viên "Đặt làm ảnh màn hình ngủ". Mục Yêu thích mất tệp có báo bằng chữ. Hộp xác nhận rộng ra cho vừa tiêu đề.
• Tìm tệp: kéo xuống ở đầu danh sách tệp để hiện ô tìm. Máy tìm cả thư mục con, sâu tới 5 tầng, bấm Về là dừng.
• Nạp qua cáp: bản phát hành nhận firmware qua cáp USB bằng tools/nap.py. Máy hỏi xác nhận trên màn trước khi ghi. Giữ POWER cùng...
