X4 Pro dùng tenor-cross-v1.0.66-x4pro.bin trong cùng bản phát hành. Nạp qua cáp USB cho máy đang chạy v1.0.59 trở lên: giải nén gói mã nguồn, đứng trong thư mục đó chạy python3 tools/nap.py với tệp X4 Pro (cần pyserial và esptool), rồi xác nhận trên màn máy. / The X4 Pro uses tenor-cross-v1.0.66-x4pro.bin from the same release. Over the USB cable, for a device already on v1.0.59 or later: unpack the source package, run python3 tools/nap.py in that folder with the X4 Pro file (needs pyserial and esptool), then confirm on the device screen.

English

v1.0.66 is a fix release for all 4 devices. Text in some books no longer sticks to the first word of the next block, the web upload page sends file names in composed form (NFC), and an X3 keeps its motion settings when the sensor misses a boot. Every book rebuilds its chapter cache once after the update.

Before you update

• X3/X4 firmware: tenor-cross-v1.0.66-x3-x4.bin, 6,406,176 bytes, SHA-256 6d6ca82cbfbae838f7002cd1591972f75e2546652080f85f65339a8e3a557628. Use the SD card or USB at offset 0x10000.
• X3/X4 factory firmware: tenor-cross-v1.0.66-x3-x4-factory.bin, 6,471,712 bytes, SHA-256 7c54d92c806d961f556e3859516f1cb20b9c56201e8c71e5a397673643cec1bd. Use it for a fresh USB install at offset 0x0.
• X4 Classic firmware: tenor-cross-v1.0.66-x4c.bin, 6,416,144 bytes, SHA-256 12c9c418df120d985ac634bf114be5d31ebab2c2b739a2e87b57b7caf146505e. Only for the X4 Classic (ESP32-S3). Update over the air from Settings, or install by cable. Do not install it on an X3, X4 or X4 Pro.
• X4 Pro firmware: tenor-cross-v1.0.66-x4pro.bin, 6,489,872 bytes, SHA-256 afcd5c6842323b524e22e2f6bcaa6bb5a3910f7bc43d9780ea4f2093b280548f. Copy it to the root of the card as firmware.bin and update from the device menu, or flash it by cable with tools/nap.py on a device running v1.0.59 or later. An X4 Pro on v1.0.56 to v1.0.65 updates to this release over the air, from Settings > About & updates > Find updates. Use it on the X4 Pro only.
• The 7 font packages are unchanged from v1.0.61 and still download from the same place.
• Keep the v1.0.65 files in case you need to go back, and check the SHA-256 before flashing.
• The chapter cache format moves to version 57. The first time you open each chapter after the update, the device rebuilds the cache for that chapter, so its first page takes the usual first-open time. This happens once per chapter.
• Tested on real hardware: the X3 runs this release. A measurement build from the same source opened a 30-chapter book on the X3, turned 40 pages and moved to the next chapter with Bluetooth on, kept as much free memory as v1.0.65, and showed a test book with two<div>three as 2 separate lines. The X4 Pro ran a measurement build from the same source and turned 60 pages. The X4 Classic runs this release, flashed by cable, and a measurement build from the same source turned 40 pages, opened the reader menu and went back to Home.

Reading

• Text that runs straight into a heading or a block, such as two<div>three in converted or scraped books, no longer sticks to the first word of the new block (twothree). The leftover text stayed in the part-word buffer and was glued onto the next word. It now ends as its own paragraph before the block starts, as it already did before a line break.
• Dictionary: a definition too long for the free memory now shows Not enough memory instead of crashing the device. The definition screen makes a plain-text copy as big as the definition, and the device now checks for room before it makes that copy.
• File search now lists .xtch books. The reader and the folder view already opened them, only the search skipped them.

Web file transfer

• Files uploaded from the browser page now go out with their names in composed form (NFC). A Mac hands the browser decomposed (NFD) names, for example Vietnamese names with tone marks, and the duplicate check missed a file of the same name already on the card in NFC. Only the browser upload page changes: WebDAV from the Finder still sends NFD names, and files already on the card with NFD names keep them.
• A dialog no longer closes when a text selection ends outside it, for example while selecting the name in Rename. It now closes only when both the press and the release land on the dark area around it.

X3

• If the motion sensor does not answer during one boot, the next save no longer drops the 12 saved Gestures settings. Before, that save left them out of the settings file and the next normal boot read the defaults. While the sensor is missing, those rows stay hidden on the device and on the web settings page.

X4 Pro and tenor/ugly

• The Connecting and Connected screens cut a long network name by width only. Before, the line was first cut at a fixed byte count, which could split a Vietnamese character and show a replacement box. A long name in plain letters now shows in full when it fits. Not yet checked on a real network with such a name.

Known limits

• WebDAV from the Finder still writes NFD file names, and NFD names already on the card are not converted.
• The X4 Classic still has no Bluetooth: its app slot is too small for the Bluetooth stack.
• X4 Pro: reconnecting the remote after the device sleeps and wakes has not been tried.
• A card that locks up completely is not recovered by the automatic restart. Take the card out, put it back in, and turn the device on again.
• X4 Pro: fast typing by touch on the on-screen keyboard has not been measured for dropped touches.
• WebDAV: after a pull finishes, leave the WebDAV screen and open it again to pull more.
• X4 Pro: the WebDAV screen works with the buttons only, touch is not wired yet.

Trong sách thử, nội dung two<div>three đã hiển thị đúng thành 2 dòng riêng. X4 Pro chạy bản đo dựng từ cùng mã nguồn và đã lật 60 trang. X4 Classic đã được nạp bản phát hành này qua cáp, còn bản đo dựng từ cùng mã nguồn đã lật 40 trang, mở menu đọc rồi quay về màn hình chính.

Đọc sách

• Phần chữ đứng liền trước tiêu đề hoặc khối nội dung mới không còn dính vào chữ đầu của khối đó. Lỗi này thường gặp ở sách chuyển đổi hoặc lấy từ web, chẳng hạn two<div>three bị ghép thành twothree. Trước đây, phần chữ đó còn nằm trong bộ đệm của từ đang xử lý nên bị ghép vào từ tiếp theo. Nay máy tách phần chữ đó thành đoạn riêng trước khi mở khối mới, giống cách xử lý khi gặp ngắt dòng.
• Từ điển: nếu định nghĩa quá dài so với bộ nhớ còn trống, máy sẽ hiện "Không đủ bộ nhớ" thay vì bị sập. Để hiển thị định nghĩa, máy cần tạo thêm 1 bản sao dạng văn bản thuần có kích thước bằng định nghĩa. Máy kiểm tra bộ nhớ trống trước khi tạo bản này.
• Tìm tệp nay liệt kê cả sách .xtch. Trình đọc và màn thư mục đã mở được loại tệp này từ trước, nhưng phần tìm kiếm từng bỏ sót.

Gửi file qua web

• Tên tệp gửi lên từ trang web nay được chuyển sang dạng dựng sẵn (NFC). Trên máy Mac, trình duyệt nhận tên tệp ở dạng tách dấu (NFD), chẳng hạn với tên tiếng Việt có dấu. Vì vậy, bước kiểm tra trùng tên từng bỏ sót tệp cùng tên đã có trên thẻ ở dạng NFC. Thay đổi này chỉ áp dụng cho trang gửi file trên trình duyệt. WebDAV từ Finder vẫn gửi tên NFD, và tệp mang tên NFD đã có trên thẻ vẫn giữ nguyên tên.
• Hộp thoại không còn tự đóng khi bạn kéo để chọn chữ rồi thả chuột bên ngoài hộp, chẳng hạn khi chọn tên tệp trong Đổi tên. Hộp thoại chỉ đóng khi cả lúc nhấn và lúc thả chuột đều ở vùng tối bên ngoài.

X3

• Nếu cảm biến chuyển động không phản hồi trong 1 lần khởi động, lần lưu cài đặt tiếp theo vẫn giữ đủ 12 cài đặt Cử chỉ đã lưu. Trước đây, lần lưu đó bỏ các cài đặt này khỏi tệp, khiến máy dùng lại giá trị mặc định ở lần khởi động bình thường tiếp theo. Khi thiếu cảm biến, các dòng cài đặt này được ẩn trên máy và trên trang cài đặt qua web.

X4 Pro và tenor/ugly

• Màn Đang kết nối và Đã kết nối nay chỉ cắt tên mạng dài theo bề ngang màn hình. Trước đây, tên mạng bị cắt theo giới hạn byte cố định, có thể làm đứt chữ tiếng Việt và hiện ô thay thế. Tên dài chỉ gồm chữ không dấu nay hiển thị đầy đủ nếu vừa màn hình. Chưa thử trên mạng thật có tên dài như vậy.

Còn vướng

• WebDAV từ Finder vẫn ghi tên tệp ở dạng NFD, và các tên NFD đã có trên thẻ vẫn giữ nguyên.
• X4 Classic vẫn chưa có Bluetooth: vùng bộ nhớ dành cho ứng dụng quá nhỏ để chứa bộ Bluetooth.
• X4 Pro: chưa thử khả năng bộ lật trang kết nối lại sau khi máy thức dậy từ chế độ ngủ.
• Khi thẻ nhớ bị kẹt cứng, máy tự khởi động lại vẫn không khắc phục được. Rút thẻ ra, cắm lại rồi bật máy.
• X4 Pro: chưa đo xem máy có bỏ sót lần chạm khi gõ nhanh bằng bàn phím ảo trên màn hình hay không.
• WebDAV: sau khi kéo xong 1 lượt, cần thoát màn WebDAV rồi vào lại để kéo tiếp.
• X4 Pro: màn WebDAV hiện chỉ điều khiển được bằng nút bấm, chưa hỗ trợ chạm.
