X4 Pro dùng tenor-cross-v1.0.68-x4pro.bin trong cùng bản phát hành. Nạp qua cáp USB cho máy đang chạy v1.0.59 trở lên: giải nén gói mã nguồn, đứng trong thư mục đó chạy python3 tools/nap.py với tệp X4 Pro (cần pyserial và esptool), rồi xác nhận trên màn máy. / The X4 Pro uses tenor-cross-v1.0.68-x4pro.bin from the same release. Over the USB cable, for a device already on v1.0.59 or later: unpack the source package, run python3 tools/nap.py in that folder with the X4 Pro file (needs pyserial and esptool), then confirm on the device screen.

English

v1.0.68 is a fix release. The image viewer asks before it replaces the sleep image, the web Files page sends a folder listing in chunks so it no longer holds the X3 web server for minutes, and the Fonts tab of File Transfer takes variable font files as 1 family. tenor/ugly gives the previous default font back when Shantell Sans is deleted while tenor/ugly holds the reader font.

• X3/X4 factory firmware: tenor-cross-v1.0.68-x3-x4-factory.bin, 6,470,736 bytes, SHA-256 7625d369fd0b5dad76ad938f8c8df3bf38eed3541c7aeb31aeb68da5ae4ae6f4. Use it for a fresh USB install at offset 0x0.
• X4 Classic firmware: tenor-cross-v1.0.68-x4c.bin, 6,410,816 bytes, SHA-256 c2d850c9f9af18a785d2db0a9bdce942a99f3f6a1fd173226c576daa77c7376d. Only for the X4 Classic (ESP32-S3). Update over the air from Settings, or install by cable. Do not install it on an X3, X4 or X4 Pro.
• X4 Pro firmware: tenor-cross-v1.0.68-x4pro.bin, 6,484,576 bytes, SHA-256 5701b6257d92872b8ee48e62c41fe5c268c945eb2ace5a2058741ae06b777a55. Copy it to the root of the card as firmware.bin and update from the device menu, or flash it by cable with tools/nap.py on a device running v1.0.59 or later. An X4 Pro on v1.0.56 to v1.0.67 updates to this release over the air, from Settings > About & updates > Find updates. Use it on the X4 Pro only.
• The 7 font packages are unchanged from v1.0.61 and still download from the same place.
• Keep the v1.0.67 files in case you need to go back, and check the SHA-256 before flashing.
• Tested on real hardware: the X3 runs this release to the home screen; on a measurement build from the same source, the Files page loaded the folder listing 5 times in a row without stalling, deleting Shantell Sans while tenor/ugly held the font and then leaving tenor/ugly brought Bokerlam back, and the image viewer asked before replacing the sleep image. The X4 Classic runs this release to the home screen, and the image viewer asked first on its measurement build. X4 Pro, measurement build from the same source: the image viewer asked first, and Cancel left the sleep image as it was.

Image viewer

• Confirm on an open image copies the image over the sleep image and switches the sleep screen to it. The viewer now asks first, with Set Cover? and the file name. Cancel redraws the image and leaves the sleep image as it was. Before, 1 press replaced the sleep image at once. This change comes from CrossPoint (crosspoint-reader#3994).

Web file transfer

• Files page: the device now sends the folder listing in chunks of about 1 KB. This fixes a listing that could hold the X3 web server for minutes right after the Files page loaded.
• Fonts tab: variable font files such as Literata[opsz,wght].ttf with Literata-Italic[opsz,wght].ttf now count as 1 family, and so do names ending in -VariableFont_wght. Before, the page read them as 2 families and refused them.
• Fonts tab: when a send breaks halfway through a new family, the page says how many files arrived and asks you to delete that family before sending it again, since the next send stops at the files already there.

tenor/ugly

• Deleting the ShantellSans pack while tenor/ugly holds the reader font no longer leaves you on the built-in font: leaving tenor/ugly gives the previous default font back. A font you pick yourself while in tenor/ugly stays when you leave.

Known limits

• WebDAV from the Finder still writes NFD file names, and NFD names already on the card are not converted.
• The X4 Classic still has no Bluetooth: its app slot is too small for the Bluetooth stack.
• X4 Pro: reconnecting the remote after the device sleeps and wakes has not been tried.
• A card that locks up completely is not recovered by the automatic restart. Take the card out, put it back in, and turn the device on again.
• X4 Pro: fast typing by touch on the on-screen keyboard has not been measured for dropped touches.
• WebDAV: after a pull finishes, leave the WebDAV screen and open it again to pull more.
• X4 Pro: the WebDAV screen works with the buttons only, touch is not wired yet.
• X3: the web server can still stall for a minute or two when 2 browser tabs load heavy pages at the same moment. It recovers by itself.
• If the device is short of memory, a 16 MB font pack sent through the web page installs at the next restart, which spends about 1 minute on the boot screen.

Trình xem ảnh

• Bấm Xác nhận khi đang mở ảnh sẽ chép ảnh đó đè lên ảnh màn hình ngủ. Bây giờ máy hỏi lại, kèm câu Đặt ảnh màn hình ngủ? và tên tệp. Chọn Hủy sẽ vẽ lại ảnh và giữ nguyên ảnh màn hình ngủ. Trước đây, bấm Xác nhận 1 lần đã thay ảnh màn hình ngủ ngay. Thay đổi này lấy từ CrossPoint (crosspoint-reader#3994).

Gửi file qua web

• Trang Tệp nay gửi danh sách thư mục theo từng khúc khoảng 1 KB. Bản này sửa lỗi yêu cầu tải danh sách ngay sau khi mở trang Tệp có thể giữ máy chủ web của X3 trong nhiều phút.
• Mục Font chữ coi các tệp font biến thiên như Literata[opsz,wght].ttf và Literata-Italic[opsz,wght].ttf là 1 bộ font. Các tệp có tên kết thúc bằng -VariableFont_wght cũng được coi như vậy. Trước đây trang web coi chúng là 2 bộ font và từ chối.
• Khi lượt gửi bộ font mới bị gián đoạn, mục Font chữ báo số tệp đã được gửi tới máy và nhắc xóa bộ font đó trước khi gửi lại. Lượt gửi sau sẽ dừng ở các tệp đã có trên máy.

tenor/ugly

• Khi gói Shantell Sans bị xóa trong lúc tenor/ugly đang giữ font đọc, rời tenor/ugly sẽ trả lại font mặc định trước khi vào tenor/ugly. Font bạn tự chọn trong lúc dùng tenor/ugly được giữ nguyên khi rời.

Còn vướng

• WebDAV từ Finder vẫn ghi tên tệp ở dạng NFD, và các tên NFD đã có trên thẻ vẫn giữ nguyên.
• X4 Classic vẫn chưa có Bluetooth vì vùng bộ nhớ dành cho ứng dụng quá nhỏ để chứa phần mềm Bluetooth.
• X4 Pro: chưa thử khả năng bộ lật trang kết nối lại sau khi máy thức dậy từ chế độ ngủ.
• Khi thẻ nhớ bị kẹt cứng, khởi động lại máy vẫn không khắc phục được. Rút thẻ ra, cắm lại rồi bật máy.
• X4 Pro: chưa đo xem máy có bỏ sót lần chạm khi gõ nhanh bằng bàn phím ảo trên màn hình hay không.
• WebDAV: sau mỗi lượt kéo tệp, cần thoát màn WebDAV rồi vào lại để kéo tiếp.
• X4 Pro: màn WebDAV hiện chỉ điều khiển được bằng nút bấm, chưa hỗ trợ chạm.
• X3: máy chủ web vẫn có thể không phản hồi trong 1 đến 2 phút khi 2 tab trình duyệt cùng tải trang nặng. Máy tự hồi lại sau đó.
• Nếu máy thiếu bộ nhớ, gói font 16 MB gửi qua trang web sẽ được cài ở lần khởi động lại kế tiếp. Máy sẽ dừng khoảng 1 phút ở màn hình khởi động.
