Tree Ring now preserves the ownership boundary between project instructions and its memory reference from the first initialization.

  • Newly created root AGENTS.md files track only Tree Ring’s marked block. Adding project or DOX guidance around that block no longer sends activation retries into needs-user-review.
  • Editing the marked block still requires review. Existing manifests retain their recorded ownership; the update does not rewrite them.
  • The generated CLI quick reference now describes the existing link and status commands.

Includes the 0.15.8 fix for equivalent relative and absolute project-local activation paths. Native Codex and Claude lifecycle hooks remain compatible without a plugin package update.
