Jetson uinput module

This project restores /dev/uinput on NVIDIA Jetson Linux 39.2.1 with the stock 6.8.12-1021-tegra kernel. It builds only the missing loadable module; it does not replace the kernel image or flash the Jetson.

Why this exists

The affected kernel was built with:

The matching headers and ABI symbol table are present, so NVIDIA's exact uinput source can be compiled as an external module. This is less invasive than replacing /boot/Image and requires no reboot for initial use.

Scope

This repository supports one exact kernel ABI: 6.8.12-1021-tegra from Jetson Linux 39.2.1. It does not claim compatibility with other JetPack or Jetson Linux releases.

Tested hardware

This project was built and tested on the Seeed Studio NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin 32GB H01 running JetPack 7.2.1-b49, Jetson Linux 39.2.1, and kernel 6.8.12-1021-tegra.

Other Jetson modules, carrier boards, JetPack releases, and kernel versions have not been tested.
