The application kernel for the FireHub Framework, providing application bootstrapping, lifecycle management, and service orchestration. Designed as a shared, edition-agnostic runtime component for Standard, Professional, and Enterprise applications.
FireHub is a modular PHP framework built around:
- Clean Architecture
- Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
- Explicit boundaries between Core, Adapters, and Modules
- Long-term maintainability and scalability
FireHub is designed for building enterprise-grade PHP applications without sacrificing clarity or developer experience.
FireHub Kernel provides the application-level orchestration required to initialize, operate, and shut down FireHub applications consistently. It implements stable contracts defined by Core Standard and remains independent of edition-specific features.
Its responsibilities include:
- Application lifecycle — managing initialization, readiness, failure, and shutdown.
- Bootstrap orchestration — executing initialization steps in a controlled order.
- Service integration — coordinating service registration and initialization through explicit contracts.
- Configuration initialization — making application configuration available during startup.
- Module integration — coordinating optional modules and capabilities without hard-coded edition checks.
- Application context — providing the environment and state needed for application initialization.
The Kernel does not implement HTTP routing, console commands, business logic, or individual capability features. Those responsibilities belong to adapters, applications, and dedicated capability packages.
The same Kernel is used with all three FireHub editions. Core Standard is the minimum required edition; Professional and Enterprise extend the ecosystem through their own contracts and components, not separate Kernel implementations.
