2.6  versionCode 43  app-side update

Bannerlator 2.6

Run Windows apps and games on Android — no PC and no root required.

2.6 completes Community Configs. 2.5.2 gave you the browse-and-apply half; 2.6 adds the other half — share your own working setups, both locally and online, right from the same Community Configs menu. Sharing now captures your entire per-game setup (not just the core versions), and there's a brand-new optional account system so your uploads can follow you across devices and carry your name. Like the last few releases this is an entirely app-side update — no ImageFS reinstall — your containers, themes, custom accent and per-game settings all carry over untouched. Just install over 2.5.2.

Browse Community Configs

🌐 Browse the community config library on the web: the412banner.github.io/bannerlator-game-configs — search everything shared from Bannerlator by game and device, compare side by side, and (signed in with your app account) manage your own uploads.

Everything the app offers, at a glance.

🍷 Windows compatibility

  • Wine — run native Win32/Win64 apps & games.
  • Box64 / Box86 x86(-64)→ARM translation with performance presets.
  • WOWBox64 for arm64ec containers.
  • FEXCore alt x86/x64 backend, with automatic unixlib (.so) matching per version.
  • arm64ec and x64 container support.

🎨 Graphics & translation layers

  • DXVK (DX8/9/10/11→Vulkan; GPLAsync & Sarek variants).
  • VKD3D-Proton (DX12→Vulkan).
  • WineD3D / DirectDraw OpenGL fallback for older titles.
  • Proton bionic layers (via GameNative) — incl. Proton 11.0-1 arm64ec & x86-64, per-SDK (28 / 35).
  • VEGAS — Adreno-optimized DXVK (less stutter, real-time upscaling).
  • Turnip / Mesa Adreno drivers (+timeline-semaphore patches; turnip-26.1.0 as a direct ICD for Android 10 / pre-11).
  • BCn transcoding for Mali / Xclipse — "Wrapper + bcn_layer" driver + BCn settings panel (plus experimental "Wrapper-gamenative").

🖥️ Renderers

  • Vulkan / OpenGL / SurfaceFlinger / VirGL host renderers.
  • SurfaceFlinger colour fix — R/B-swap + crash fix, per-container/game toggle.
  • Native Rendering (Low-Latency Mode) — direct-scanout, cuts input lag (Vulkan & OpenGL).
  • Spatial upscalers — SGSR, FSR / FSR-Fit, NIS, Sharpen (RCAS), Linear / Nearest; live in-game, saved per game.
  • Fullscreen aspect modes — Off / Fit / Stretch / Fill / Integer, live switch, per game.
  • Supersampling — 1.25× / 1.5× / 2× render scale, Lanczos-2 downsample.
  • Screen effects (Vulkan & OpenGL) — FXAA, Toon, CRT, NTSC, colour grading, CAS, fake-HDR.
  • Debanding (Vulkan) — adjustable dither pass for smooth gradients.
  • ReShade — real .fx effects on DXVK / VKD3D, on-device compile, ~100-effect catalog + your own, live in-game tab, per game, solo or stacked.
  • VRR — match refresh to FPS (Auto or 60 / 90 / 120 / 144 Hz), all three renderers.
  • Adjustable resolution & frame-rate limit.

🎞️ Frame generation & pacing

  • Two engines — Off / bionic-fg (bundled) / lsfg-vk (bring your own Lossless.dll), shown as a badge in-game.
  • Live controls — Off / 2× / 3× / 4× + flow-scale slider, hot-reloaded.
  • Standalone FPS limiter — engine-independent present-pacing cap; steps aside when lsfg multiplies; both renderers.

📦 Containers

  • Multiple isolated Wine containers with redesigned spec-chip cards.
  • Auto-close on game exit (per-container toggle).
  • Import / export containers.
  • Per-container Wine / driver / DXVK / VKD3D / Box64 / drives / Z-drive / env-vars, with env-var presets.
  • Desktop wallpaper picker (per-container or global).
  • Compatibility Layers download menu — browse / install / remove every component with progress bars.

🕹️ Games, shortcuts & input

  • Game library (grid / list, sort, filters) with redesigned cards.
  • Add shortcuts from storage; back up / restore saves (GameHub-compatible zips).
  • SteamGridDB cover scraping; per-game language / locale.
  • On-screen touch controls (theme-follow or per-game colour) + virtual gamepads.
  • Physical controllers (SDL2) + touchpad / mouse emulation; rebuilt binding screen.

🌐 Community Configs

  • Catalog browser (globe) with search, filters, sort, and "Matches my device".
  • One-tap Apply — surgically merges just that config's settings, preserving the rest.
  • Smart install of a config's missing DXVK / VKD3D / FEXCore / Turnip, then auto-applies.
  • Config detail — provenance, what-it-sets, before-apply diff, upvotes / downloads / comments.
  • Share your own — export the full recipe (never your files, logins or tuning), anonymous by default; My uploads to edit / delete.
  • Optional account (username + password, recovery-key, no email) so uploads follow you and carry your name — everything works anonymously without it.
  • Read-only for your setup — nothing changes unless you tap Apply.

🛒 Built-in stores & cross-store Download Manager

  • Steam — user/pass or QR, owned library, built-in depot engine (JavaSteam), 4-tier speed, session hardening, DLC picker, true-size fix, optional Goldberg patch.
  • Epic / Amazon — sign in, browse, download / install / launch (incl. Epic free games).
  • GOG — DRM-free library with cloud-save sync.
  • ⬇ Cross-store Download Manager — one view of all downloads + installed library, live progress, background + shade notifications, launch / verified uninstall.

🔒 Security & your store accounts

  • Third-party sign-ins (not affiliated with the stores) — use at your own risk.
  • Credentials redacted from logs — signed URLs, OAuth codes, GOG secret / refresh-token, account IDs — in logcat and shareable files.

🧰 Bundled Start-menu utilities

  • WFM, AIO Graphics Test, Game Controller Test; .lnk "Start in" working-directory support.

🎛️ Interface & in-game overlay

  • Jetpack Compose UI with an icon-led drawer; your theme recolours the whole app and the in-game drawer.
  • 16 themes + HSV custom-accent picker.
  • In-game overlay drawer + Task Manager (works on any renderer).
  • File Manager with Favorites — storage-badged, real thumbnails, doubles as the universal import picker.
  • Performance HUD — FPS / frame time / CPU-GPU temp / RAM, position saved per game.
  • FEX runtime indicator — live arm64ec vs x86-64, translator, and unixlib vs DLL.

📥 Builds & distribution

  • Three flavors (standard / PuBG / Ludashi), optimized release builds, AOSP-testkey signed, GitHub Actions CI + tagged releases.

✨ What's New

🌐 Community Config Sharing — new

You can now share your own configs straight from the Community Configs browser. Export a game's working settings and either keep them locally or upload them for the community in a couple of taps — anonymously by default. A My uploads area lets you edit a config's description inline or delete it any time, and uploads are ingested into the in-app catalog automatically.

  • Captures your full game setup. A shared config now saves 38 of 39 shortcut settings (everything except one obsolete legacy fullscreen flag that's already folded into the fullscreen-mode setting) — not just the core wrapper/driver versions:
    • DXVK / VKD3D: the full config — version, async, asyncCache, framerate, vkd3dLevel, ddrawrapper, csmt, GPU spoof (gpuName / videoMemorySize), strict shader math, offscreen-rendering mode, renderer and custom DXVK conf.
    • Graphics: resolution, renderer, render scale, SurfaceFlinger compat, fullscreen mode, frame generation, FPS limiter, sharpness / FSR, ReShade (mode / effect / loadout / params).
    • Emulator: Box64 version + preset, FEXCore version + preset.
    • Wrapper selection (including VEGAS) + GPU (Turnip) driver version.
    • Input: xinput / dinput, exclusive / disable xinput, sim-touchscreen, controller count, control profile.
  • Kept separate and private-by-default. Bannerlator stores its configs in its own space, and a shared config never carries your files, your store logins, or device-specific driver tuning — just the game's settings and which device they came from.

📖 Read the full plain-English guide → for a friendly, non-technical walkthrough of browsing, applying, sharing, and the optional account / recovery-key system.

👤 Optional accounts — new

A brand-new, completely optional account system. You never need one — browsing, applying, sharing, managing your uploads, upvoting and commenting all still work anonymously. But signing up adds three conveniences:

  • Your uploads follow you to a new device or after a reinstall.
  • Your name and picture appear on the configs you share (instead of "Anonymous user").
  • No email required — just a username and password, recovered with a one-time recovery key instead of an email reset.

Sign in from the globe browser or the navigation drawer; a friendly avatar replaces the person icon once you set one.

🎨 Config polish

  • Every wrapper choice now round-trips. A shared config carries the exact wrapper you picked — VEGAS included — instead of only inferring it from version numbers, so applying it reproduces your setup faithfully.
  • Clearer "Your device" header. The Community Configs header now shows your device model and your graphics chip / SoC as two separate values, and reads "Unresolved" for either one Android can't report — so you always know exactly what was detected. (Device matching is unchanged.)
  • VEGAS config dialog, improved — community contribution. Merged from isygold (#84): the VEGAS DXVK config dialog gains delete, local install and a download progress bar, and a duplicate VEGAS wrapper entry was cleaned up.

🙌 Powered by the community

Community Configs is built on configs created by real people who have used and supported BannerHub and BannerHub Lite and shared their working per-game setups. With 2.6 the loop is complete — now anyone can contribute back and help the shared catalog grow. Thank you to everyone who has shared a config. 🙏

As of this release the community cache holds 10,038 configs across 2,128 games, of which Bannerlator matches 1,263 games into its in-app catalog — covering 8,942 configs (~89% of everything uploaded) — and it keeps growing every time someone shares, now including configs uploaded straight from Bannerlator with 2.6's new sharing.

ℹ️ Updating in-app? 2.6 is entirely app-side — the standard APK covers everything. There's no ImageFS reinstall: your containers, themes, custom accent, per-game settings and control colours all carry over. Just install over 2.5.2.

🔗 Notes

  • Community Config Sharing and accounts are backed by a first-party service, kept separate from your device and from any third party. Accounts are optional and email-free; nothing about your existing containers or settings changes unless you apply a config.
