Bannerlator 2.6.1
Bannerlator 2.6.1
Run Windows apps and games on Android — no PC and no root required.
2.6.1 is a small hotfix-and-tweak release on top of 2.6. The headline is an Adreno graphics fix: on 2.5 and later, some Adreno (Qualcomm) devices saw everything run slower and heavy titles like Skyrim AE stop launching entirely — a BC-texture (BCn) transcode meant only for Mali / Xclipse GPUs was being forced on Adreno too, where BCn is already handled in hardware, so it was pure wasted work. It's now switched off on Adreno (Mali / Xclipse behaviour is completely unchanged). Two small tweaks round it out. Like the last few releases this is an entirely app-side update — no ImageFS reinstall — your containers, themes, custom accent and per-game settings all carry over untouched. Just install over 2.6.

🌐 Community Configs
- Catalog browser (globe) with search, filters, sort, and "Matches my device".
- One-tap Apply — surgically merges just that config's settings, preserving the rest.
- Smart install of a config's missing DXVK / VKD3D / FEXCore / Turnip, then auto-applies.
- Config detail — provenance, what-it-sets, before-apply diff, upvotes / downloads / comments.
- Share your own — export the full recipe (never your files, logins or tuning), anonymous by default; My uploads to edit / delete.
- Optional account (username + password, recovery-key, no email) so uploads follow you and carry your name — everything works anonymously without it.
- Read-only for your setup — nothing changes unless you tap Apply.
🛒 Built-in stores & cross-store Download Manager
- Steam — user/pass or QR, owned library, built-in depot engine (JavaSteam), 4-tier speed, session hardening, DLC picker, true-size fix, optional Goldberg patch.
- Epic / Amazon — sign in, browse, download / install / launch (incl. Epic free games).

✨ What's New
🟣 Adreno: BCn transcode no longer forced — fix
The integrated-wrapper BCn emulation (WRAPPER_EMULATE_BCN) was being emitted for every GPU vendor, but the BCn-aware wrapper builds shipped since 2.5 (Wrapper-leegao / Wrapper-gamenative) act on it — so on Adreno 7xx it forced a pointless per-texture transcode of formats the GPU already reads natively. The result on Adreno since 2.5: global slowdown and BC-heavy DX11 games (e.g. Skyrim AE) failing to launch.
- It's now gated off on Qualcomm (
0x5143) across the auto / full / default paths, mirroring the existingbcn_layerand compute-decode vendor guards. - Mali / Xclipse / PowerVR behaviour is untouched — the entire point of the 2.5 Mali hardening work still stands; only Adreno stops doing the redundant transcode.
- Diagnosed from an Adreno-750 / Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 report. If you're on Adreno and rolled back to 2.4 because 2.5+ was slow or wouldn't launch your games, this is your fix.
🔗 "Add to Shortcuts" for .exe files — new
The built-in File Manager gains an Add to Shortcuts action on any .exe, so you can turn an executable straight into a game shortcut without going through the container editor.
🎮 Community-config XInput round-trips correctly — fix
A shared config's XInput setting is a bitmask, not a plain on/off flag — it was being written back as 1/0, so applying certain shared configs could land the wrong controller mode. It now round-trips faithfully.
🍷 New Proton 10.0-4 layer — available in-app
A new Proton 10.0-4 bionic compatibility layer is now downloadable from the in-app component list — arm64ec, with FEX-unixlib support and fast-yield, freshly rebuilt to be ~3× smaller and faster to install (stripped + zstd, ~88 MB). Grab it under Container → Wine/Proton, pick SDK 28 (Android 9) or SDK 35 (Android 15), and run it on FEXCore. No app update or ImageFS reinstall needed. Prefer a manual install? Download the .wcp directly from the build-p10-20260713 release.
Previously in 2.6 — Community Config Sharing + optional accounts
2.6 completed Community Configs: 2.5.2 gave you the browse-and-apply half, and 2.6 added the other half — share your own working setups, locally or online, straight from the same Community Configs menu. Sharing captures your entire per-game setup (38 of 39 shortcut settings — the full DXVK/VKD3D config, graphics, emulator, wrapper incl. VEGAS, Turnip driver and input), and a brand-new optional account system (username + password, one-time recovery key, no email) lets your uploads follow you across devices and carry your name — everything still works anonymously without one. Also entirely app-side, no ImageFS reinstall. (Includes a community VEGAS-dialog improvement from isygold — #84.)

ℹ️ Updating in-app? 2.6.1 is entirely app-side — the standard APK covers everything. There's no ImageFS reinstall: your containers, themes, custom accent, per-game settings and control colours all carry over. Just install over 2.6.
🔗 Notes
- Small hotfix-and-tweak release. The Adreno BCn change only affects Qualcomm GPUs; Mali / Xclipse / PowerVR paths are byte-for-byte unchanged. Nothing about your existing containers or settings changes on update.
