v1.47.0
Added
- Reply format rules in the system prompt: asterisks are reserved for
actions, Markdown (headings, bold, lists, tables, code blocks) is banned
except for thememory_proposalsblock, and emojis are off unless the
character Instructions say otherwise. Replies must start and end directly,
with at most one blank line between paragraphs. - Deterministic reply cleanup: generated replies are normalized before
they are stored — padded edges, excess blank lines, heading/bold/bullet
markers and emojis are removed (emojis survive when the character
Instructions mention them), while*actions*are respected. User text is
trimmed, the live stream hides leading blank lines, and the message renderer
trims legacy rows.
v1.46.2
Fixed
- Chat images now load on remote clients (LAN, Tailscale, tunnels): asset
URLs embedded in server-rendered markup are always relative, so every client
resolves them through its own origin and the same-origin/apiproxy instead
of the packaged app'shttp://localhost:<port>.
v1.46.1
Removed
- Press launch kit retired: the announcement drafts, artwork and README
screenshots added in #17 were reverted before release; the material stays in
the git history.
Fixed
- Character export no longer fails with a validation error: the export
route's schema now derives its accepted sections from the shared list, so
conversations.images— sent by the dialog since S31 but rejected by the API —
is valid again.
v1.46.0
Added
- Settings templates now carry the custom chat image: exporting
standaloneSettingsincludes the image id plus its binary, and applying the
template recreates the asset on the destination character (or reuses a local
one, warning when it cannot be resolved).nullremoves the image. - PWA install previews and shortcuts: the manifest declares real screenshots
(character library, visual-novel chat and a phone shot) for Chrome's rich
install dialog, plus quick shortcuts on the installed icon (Tutorials,
Providers, Logs).display_overridewas left out on purpose: with no
window-controls-overlay UI it would not change anything visible. - Export and import personas: each persona plate has an Export action that
downloads a standaloneplayer-character-exportJSON file, and the header has
an Import button with a drop-or-pick dialog (kind, schema version and fields
validated with translated messages; duplicates are allowed, like characters).
Changed
- Providers & Player characters redesign (PM.27, closes the Ink & Violet
rollout): both screens get display headings with a lede; providers show the
current model in an ink plate, each card carries an icon plate, a state-dot
chip and hairline-divided sections (instances are rows now, no card nested in
a card), and personas become plates with a Dela Gothic monogram, quiet
actions and a mascot empty state.
Fixed
- The chat opens anchored to the last message: the scroller's trailing
spacer left a ~400px gap under the last message when a conversation loaded;
the end is now aligned just above the composer. - Stop sequences are no longer double-encoded when saving settings (a bug
since S5: the JSON column was stringified twice, which corrupted conversations
— and crashed their chat — wheneverstopSequenceswas sent, including every
"Apply settings" run). Corrupted rows heal on read; no migration needed. - The persona card actions no longer overflow in Spanish: Editar, Exportar and
Eliminar now live in an Options dropdown menu (the same component the rest
of the app uses for action lists), leaving a single button in the card footer. - Memory-proposal blocks from local models no longer get lost or leak into the
chat: extraction tolerates drifted labels (caps, hyphens, spaces),
unterminated blocks (a response cut mid-block), trailing commas, prose around
the array, an object wrapper and lower-cased operations — every block is
stripped, and a warning with a sample is logged when one cannot be read.
v1.45.0
Added
- Roll back to a previous version: the updates panel now offers returning to
theversions/<v>folder the last update left on disk, with a confirmation
step and the same restart guidance. Going forward again is the regular update
flow, and your data is never touched. - Install button for the PWA: the welcome screen and the Phone menu offer
the native install prompt when the browser captured it (Chrome/Android) and
link to the tutorial on iOS. A minimal pass-through service worker is now
registered so Chrome Android can offer a real (WebAPK) install.
Fixed
- The PWA tutorial claimed the app could be installed over the home network:
installation needs a secure connection (HTTPS), so it only works with the
Tailscale address. Both tutorials now say so.
v1.44.0
Added
- Tutorials screen (
/tutorials): nine step-by-step guides for the tricky
parts — phone access with Tailscale, installing the app on the phone, home
network access, AI providers, creating/exporting/importing characters,
conversation branches, memories & summaries, customizing the chat, and your
data & updates. - Cards grouped by category with a search box; each guide opens in a dialog
with numbered steps, tips and a button that jumps to the matching feature.
Guides are bilingual (es/en) and directly linkable
(/tutorials?t=branches). - New Help section in the sidebar and a link from the welcome screen.
Changed
/tutorialsrenders inside the app shell even before onboarding is finished,
so the welcome-screen link works.
v1.43.0
Added
- Memories grouped by actor: the dynamic-memory section now shows a
collapsible section per actor — initial avatar, count, and the Character /
You badges when they can be resolved — ordered with the conversation's
character first and remembered per conversation. - Search inside the section: filters by actor, title or description and
auto-expands the groups with matches without overwriting your saved
open/closed state.
Changed
- Memory cards no longer repeat the actor (it heads the group) and lead with the
priority badge; the section header summarises the totals.
v1.42.0
Added
- Application logs on disk, with a viewer: pino now writes rotating files
todata/logs(5 MB × 5, ≈30 MB at most) next to the console output, and
System → Logs shows the most recent entries with a level filter
(all / info+ / warnings+ / errors), auto-refresh, copy and a download button
for the whole history.- Credentials are redacted (
authorization,cookie,x-api-key,
set-cookie) before anything reaches the disk. LOG_DIRoverrides the folder (defaults to<DATA_DIR>/logs).
- Credentials are redacted (
Fixed
- The portable package now ships
pinoand its transport (pino-roll): with
the new file logging they must exist at runtime, because the logger loads its
transport by name and spawns a worker. The package smoke test checks that the
rotating log file is written inside the portable folder.
v1.41.0
Added
- Fullscreen focus mode for the chat: pick Pantalla completa in the
conversation settings menu and the chat overlays the whole app — sidebar,
header and padding included — with the background image stretched edge to
edge and only the messages, their context menus and the composer visible.
Leave it with the floating button orEscape, and the composer turns
translucent so the background reaches the bottom.
Fixed
- The avatar link in the chat header had a hardcoded Spanish label; it is
translated now.
Changed
- The chat header lives in its own component (
chat-header.tsx).
v1.40.5
Fixed
- The character edit header no longer overflows on small screens: below
640px the title and the actions stack, and the buttons wrap, so Delete and
Save changes stay inside the card (at 320px the page used to scroll
sideways by 179px and the title broke into two squeezed lines).
