EqualizerAPO 1.4.2 - Double Precision Edition - release 3
Release 3 of EqualizerAPO x64 1.4.2 with double precision processing and AVX2/AVX512 support. Should improve quality for complex setups, convolution filters, etc.
Note, Updated with further fixes and rewrites of AVX code, fixing various issues with Convolution, Graphic EQs and hopefully VST's. Tested all three on both builds on an AMD Ryzen 9800X3D setup.
Requires at minimum a CPU with AVX2 support, anything from 2013 (Haswell) onwards for Intel, and anything from 2015 onwards (Excavator/Ryzen) for AMD. An additional version is available for AVX512, compatibility with AVX512 can be checked here.
Compiled this version with the latest Visual Studio C++ 2022 compiler, latest Windows SDK. Additionally used /fp-precise, and various optimizations flags for maximum speed without sacrificing floating point precision.
Installation
- You will need standard Equalizer APO 1.4.2 installed on your system.
- Disable Equalizer APO for all audio devices via the Equalizer APO Device Selector.
- Unpack the downloaded zip into the Equalizer APO installation folder. This will replace EqualizerAPO.dll and other related files.
- Re-enable Equalizer APO for any relevant audio devices via the Equalizer APO Device Selector. This will load the modified 64-bit audio processing engine for immediate use.
If you have a missing DLL error, make sure you have installed the Microsoft Visual C++ 2022 Redistributable from their website here.
Once installed it's recommended to ensure your EQ is fully functioning (enabling/disabling filters should change the sound, try adjusting your preamp as an easy test). If you have any issues, I recommend uninstalling EqualizerAPO (and Peace GUI if you have it), then following the installation instructions from Step 1 for a clean install.
