RSS Quick 1.4.0
RSS Quick is a fast, accessible RSS reader for Windows and macOS, built first for people who use a screen reader, a braille display, or only the keyboard. On Windows it is now in the Microsoft Store, and an iPhone and iPad version is in public testing through TestFlight. Version 1.4.0 is the same on all of them.
It does one thing: it lets you move through a lot of headlines quickly and open the ones you want. There are two panels, your feeds on the left and their headlines on the right, and articles open in your own web browser.
New in 1.4.0
- Search All Feeds, on Windows, Mac, iPhone and iPad. Press / (or Ctrl+F, Command-F, or the Search All Feeds button, shown as a magnifying glass, on iPhone and iPad) and type a few words: RSS Quick fetches every feed in your list and shows the headlines containing all of them, in the headline or the feed's name, ignoring case and accents. F5 runs the search again, and Escape stops it.
- Subscribe to a feed by its address, or by a website's address, and RSS Quick finds the feed the site links to. You choose the folder it goes in. Remove Feed takes one out again. Either saves your feed list as your default straight away, so nothing is lost when RSS Quick closes.
- Export Feed List saves your list as an OPML file, including anything you have subscribed to, for another reader or another computer.
- A menu bar on Windows, with the same File, Edit, Article, View and Help menus as the Mac and every command in it. Alt or F10 reaches it.

Please open an issue, especially for anything to do with a screen reader, braille display, magnifier or keyboard use. You do not need to work out the cause: what you heard, or what you could not reach, is the useful part.
RSS Quick 1.2.0
RSS Quick is a fast, accessible RSS reader for Windows and macOS, built first for people who use a screen reader, a braille display, or only the keyboard. An iPhone and iPad version is in public testing through TestFlight.
It does one thing: it lets you move through a lot of headlines quickly and open the ones you want. There are two panels, your feeds on the left and their headlines on the right, and articles open in your own web browser.
What it does
- Reads your feeds. RSS and Atom, organised in folders. It starts with a list of news, business, technology, science and health, culture, sports and accessibility feeds.
- Loads a whole folder at once. Press Enter on a folder and every feed in it is fetched together and merged, newest first, and as you move through it you are told which feed each headline came from. If a few feeds fail, you still get the rest, and you are told which ones failed.
- Uses your own feed list. Import any OPML file, the format every feed reader exports, and make it your default so it opens every time.
- Opens articles in your browser, where your reading setup already is.
- Keeps itself up to date. The Windows installer downloads new versions and installs them when you close RSS Quick. The portable Windows copy and the Mac tell you when there is one.
- Keeps nothing about you. No account, no tracking, no cache. The only thing kept between runs is your default feed list, plus your text size on the Mac.
Built to be heard and felt
- Braille-clean headlines. Invisible characters and odd spaces that publishers leave in titles are removed, because on a braille display they show up as confusing blank cells.
- One voice. Only the status bar speaks up on its own: when a load starts, what arrived, and what failed. Nothing else interrupts.
- Focus goes where you expect. When headlines arrive you are on the first one, and coming back to the list returns you to the headline you left. Nothing moves you unless you asked.
- Browsing is silent. Arrowing through the feed list fetches nothing; only Enter loads.
- Your display settings are respected. Windows high contrast themes and text size work, and text size can be changed from the keyboard on both platforms.
- Everything is on the keyboard. Press F1 on Windows, or Command-Slash on the Mac, for the full list of keys.
