Troubleshooting
Start with uv run jobradar stats --days 3: it shows failed tasks and their last error.
.env: line N: command not found: abcd
A value in .env contains spaces, usually a Gmail app password copied as abcd efgh ijkl mnop. Remove the spaces. No quotes, no spaces around =.
config/config.yaml is invalid: - links.links: unknown setting (typo?)
A key is misspelled or pasted in the wrong place. The message names it; fix that line. Indentation matters in YAML.
config/config.yaml not found
Run uv run jobradar init, or copy config.example.yaml to config/config.yaml.
Missing in .env: GEMINI_API_KEY
The line exists but is empty, or the file wasn't saved. Check without printing the key:
awk -F= '/^GEMINI_API_KEY=/{print "length:", length($2)}' .env"ERROR" when creating the app on my.telegram.org Turn off VPN and ad-blockers, try a different short name (letters and numbers, 5–32 characters), and make sure the URL field isn't empty.
Not logged in to Telegram. Run jobradar init first.
data/tg.session is missing or was revoked (for example from Telegram → Settings → Devices). Run uv run jobradar init again.
Telegram chats not found or not joined: …
Your account isn't a member of that chat, or the id is wrong. Copy ids from uv run jobradar chats.
catch-up done … messages=0
Normal: nothing was posted while JobRadar was off. It remembers the last message per chat. To re-read from scratch, stop JobRadar and delete data/jobradar.db*; your Telegram login (data/tg.session) is kept.
Could not find database with ID … / "object not found"
The integration isn't connected. Open the JobRadar page → ••• → Connections → add your integration. Make sure NOTION_DATABASE_ID is the database's id (open it as a full page and copy its link), not the parent page's.
The database is connected but older tools say it can't be found
Since late 2025 Notion databases contain data sources, and calls using the old API version (2022-06-28) can't read new databases. JobRadar uses 2025-09-03. If you test with curl, send Notion-Version: 2025-09-03.
Notion database does not match the template: property 'Status' should be select, is status
Use a Select property, not Notion's built-in "Status" type. Every problem is listed by name; see Notion Setup.
validation_error … rich_text
Fixed in v0.1 (Notion counts emoji as two characters). Update (git pull && uv sync) and run uv run jobradar retry --failed.
A row in Notion is an ad, not a job
Restart jobradar run; the start-up sweep hides links attached to posts about 3+ different jobs. If it's still there, add its host or host/path to links.deny and restart. If the link is a channel's own redirect domain, add it to links.extra_shorteners.
message has no job link
The post has no usable link (text-only, poster image, or only t.me/YouTube links). These are read from v0.2 part C.
Columns stay empty
Extraction needs an LLM key. Check the log for LLM key missing. Jobs listed before the key was added: uv run jobradar extract --missing.
page not usable … login required
Expected for LinkedIn and similar sites: Gemini reads the Telegram post instead. For JavaScript-only sites, install the optional browser: uv sync --extra browser && uv run playwright install chromium.
daily LLM budget reached
Reading pauses until midnight in notify.timezone; jobs are still listed. Raise llm.daily_budget_inr or switch to a cheaper model.
[AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] Invalid credentials
Create the app password while signed in to the same account as EMAIL_ADDRESS (check the avatar on myaccount.google.com/apppasswords), with 2-Step Verification on. Paste it without spaces.
Login suddenly drops the connection, or fails right after working Too many failed attempts: Google blocks logins for a while. Stop retrying for about an hour, sign in once in a browser and approve any "Was this you?" prompt, then try once.
remote rejected … Internal Server Error on push
A temporary GitHub problem. Your commit is safe locally; push again in 15–30 minutes.
