v0.8.0

@TheRealDeltrex TheRealDeltrex released this 19 Oct 20:12

New

  • Star Ranger designs: 337 officially sanctioned ships, 10 new factions, and their systems under Project Continuum (rules text in Settings > Star Ranger rules).
  • Ship pictures for designs and individual ships, with a gallery, uploads and a picture backup in Settings. Not every ship has its own picture yet; Star Ranger ships use their class picture.
  • Two illustrated themes: Orbital Foundry and Celestial Archive.
  • Settings > Files: back up the whole library and import it again. Export on the Fleet tab and for own designs.
  • Drag ships to reorder them or move them between squadrons.
  • Every section header folds.

Changed

  • New fleets start with gear and mechanics options on, and selection limits and alternative core rules off.
  • Add ship keeps the last pick.
  • The Record sheet view is gone from the Fleet overview; Print covers record sheets.
  • Hulls of 3 boxes or fewer cost 2 pts per box.
  • Rules fixes: PC tech base, cloak and holofield vs screens, drive repairs use the weekly repair rolls, print trackers show real fighter counts.

Windows: unzip anywhere and run FullThrustFleetManager.exe. The exe is signed by Deltrex with a self-signed certificate, so SmartScreen may still warn.

v0.7.0

New

  • Project Continuum ruleset: PC fleets, systems and hull options, with Fleet Book ships costed under PC.
  • PC turrets, gunboats, fighter racks, light and robot fighters.
  • Imperial tech base and monster ship sections.
  • PC quick reference on the fleet sheet.

Changed

  • Carrier classes are now CVE, CVL and CVA. CV and CVH designs load as CVA.
  • The Add system picker is grouped and has a filter box.

Not yet modelled: FTL gunboat squadrons without a carrier, and squadrons mixing gunboat types.

Windows: unzip anywhere and run FullThrustFleetManager.exe. The exe is signed by Deltrex with a self-signed certificate, so SmartScreen may still warn.

v0.6.0

New

  • Custom factions: "New faction…" in the Design faction pickers, with toggles to show custom factions and other races' factions.
  • Add ship picker: entries read "Name (class) · N pts", grouped under faction headers; choose Own, All or selected factions, remembered per fleet.
  • Edits save as you make them, everywhere. Only editing a design that ships already use still waits for Refit all or Save as new variant.
  • Collapsible sections in the fleet sidebar and the Design view.
  • Asteroid, a new look; Aurora is softer, and the looks are listed alphabetically, with a picker in the top bar.

Changed

  • Fire arcs read F, FP, FS, then A, AP, AS.
  • Added systems sort themselves by type, and the system picker keeps your last pick.
  • A class code typed into Type code fills Type.
  • Rulebooks are listed in publication order; shorter About text.
  • Restyled top-bar fleet picker; contrast fixes across the looks.

Windows: unzip anywhere and run FullThrustFleetManager.exe. The exe is signed by Deltrex with a self-signed certificate, so SmartScreen may still warn.

New: Cross Dimensions is complete

The rest of the Cross Dimensions fleet rules are in:

  • Battle riders and motherships (CD pp.34-35): a ship without FTL is a battle rider of up to MASS 60, and the fleet's FTL ships must carry every rider in a tender bay or with tug drives. Tugs with advanced FTL can combine to haul one ship.
  • System defence ships: a new fleet option allows bigger ships without FTL and lifts the mothership check.
  • Jump gates and portals (CD p.35): build a gate with a jump gate drive or a portal drive, priced like FTL. The record sheet prints its transfer MASS.
  • Starbase sections (CD p.51) as a new hull kind. Gates and starbases are stationary.
  • Dummy bogeys (CD p.37) at 20 points each, at most one per real ship, behind the sensors option.
  • Tournament limits (CD p.57): a patrol battle option (no capitals, at most half the points on cruisers) and a capital limit option (at most half the points on capitals).
  • Fleet morale (CD p.40): the Fleet tab and the PDF roster show the MASS lost so far against the line at which the fleet withdraws.
  • Quick-reference entries for all of the above, plus boarding actions and starbases, in the app and on the fleet PDF.

Windows: unzip anywhere and run FullThrustFleetManager.exe. The exe is signed by Deltrex with a self-signed certificate, so SmartScreen may still warn.

New: choose the app's look

Settings > Appearance now offers seven space-named looks:

  • Light: Admiralty (the default) and Lunar, in pale moon grey
  • Dark: Bridge, Carbon Armor and Night Sky
  • Colourful: Nebula
  • Green: Aurora, a northern-lights look

The old Classic and Dark looks are retired. If you were using one of them, the app switches you to Admiralty.

Windows: unzip anywhere and run FullThrustFleetManager.exe. The exe is signed by Deltrex with a self-signed certificate, so SmartScreen may still warn.

v0.4.0

@TheRealDeltrex TheRealDeltrex released this 17 Oct 20:43

New: Fleet Book ships under Cross Dimensions

  • Every Fleet Book ship, FB1 and the three FB2 races, is in the Cross Dimensions catalog, costed by the Cross Dimensions engine
  • Cross Dimensions fleets and designs can be Kra'Vak, Sa'Vasku or Phalon, with the CD p.21 changes: Kra'Vak scatterguns cost 4, the Si'Tek swaps a K-1 gun for an ADFC, Kra'Vak fighter groups pay +6 for kinetic weapons

New: start a design from a ship class

  • The New design form has a Class picker. A class fills in MASS, hull, armour, thrust, FTL and fire controls; carriers start with two hangar bays. "Start blank" still works
  • Changing MASS out of the class band updates the class code

Improvements

  • Faction pickers on the New fleet form, the New design form and the design workbench; a new design takes the current fleet's faction
  • Add ship lists only the fleet's faction's ships, with a "Show all ships" toggle, and points to the Design tab when a ruleset has no designs yet
  • A ship's name and table ID can be edited on its fleet card; IDs are unique within a fleet
  • The catalog is grouped by faction, then class from SC to SDN, then carriers and merchants, with points beside each class
  • Weapon class and other capped settings are dropdowns in every ruleset; open-ended settings go 1 to 11, then "More" with a write-in field
  • A system row shows its settings (class, load, stages) beside its arcs
  • A hangar bay holds one fighter group; add a bay per group, as the books do
  • The top bar stays visible while the page scrolls
  • New fleet form: visible labels, and rulesets numbered by publication (1. Full Thrust 2nd ed., 2. Fleet Books, 3. Cross Dimensions)

Fixes

  • The online app's rulebook viewer was missing two files of its PDF reader (pdf.js)

Windows: unzip anywhere and run FullThrustFleetManager.exe. The exe is signed by Deltrex with a self-signed certificate, so SmartScreen may still warn.

v0.3.0

@TheRealDeltrex TheRealDeltrex released this 17 Oct 11:47

New: Cross Dimensions ruleset

Design ships and build fleets to the Full Thrust: Cross Dimensions rules (chapter 11, human tech), alongside Fleet Books and Full Thrust 2nd edition.

  • Advanced hulls, drives and FTL; partial and full streamlining; broadside arcs; shell armour
  • Grasers, classed torpedoes, advanced screens, scatterguns, heavy and multi-stage missiles
  • Optional sensors, ECM, mines, ortillery and the super weapons, each behind a fleet option
  • The CPV hull cost and paid-for advanced FTL as fleet options
  • Loadouts: FTL and kinetic fighters, swing-role groups, light vessels in hangars, and multi-stage salvo loads in magazines
  • Cross Dimensions record-sheet icons and a quick reference quoted from the book

Improvements

  • Fighter types, system fields and knocked-out systems are shown by name everywhere (no more long_range or fire_control); choice fields such as a hold's kind are dropdowns
  • A fleet with no faction gets a "No faction" badge instead of being called mixed

Fixes

  • Recalculating a design with a salvo missile magazine failed with "Please enter a valid number". The launchers a magazine feeds are now checkboxes.

Windows: unzip anywhere and run FullThrustFleetManager.exe. The exe is signed by Deltrex with a self-signed certificate, so SmartScreen may still warn.

New Full Thrust Fleet Manager logo. The tray icon and browser tab icon now use the FULL THRUST lettering only.

v0.2

Choose a tag to compare

@TheRealDeltrex TheRealDeltrex released this 21 Sep 08:06

The Fleet Book 2 alien races, and three more rulebooks to read.

Alien races

Kra'Vak, Sa'Vasku and Phalon are playable alongside the human fleets. Each is a tech module
inside the Fleet Book ruleset with its own systems, record-sheet icons, rules check and quick
reference, and each brings its book classes into the catalog.

  • The ship catalog grows from 96 designs to 141. 139 of them recompute to the exact points
value printed in the book; the two that don't are listed in data/errata.json with the reason.
  • Sa'Vasku constructs have no crew and no thrust rating: the sheet prints their power-per-turn
thrust table and an allocation box instead.
  • Phalon shells are layered armour, where a box in the fourth layer costs 8 points rather than 2.
Pulser settings (long / medium / close) are chosen per ship before a battle, and the print
dialog can leave the icons blank so you can write them on the sheet the way the book does.

Rulebooks

Three more books ship with the app, searchable and fully bookmarked like the core four:
Cross Dimensions and Project Continuum with its errata. Both are free non-commercial
publications distributed with Ground Zero Games' agreement. They are included to be read; the
app does not implement their rules.

Also

  • Windows builds are now signed as "Deltrex". The certificate is self-signed rather than bought,
so SmartScreen still warns the first time: click "More info", then "Run anyway".
  • The download page gained read-only previews of a design and a fleet, rendered from the app
    itself.

Design files are schema_version 2. Older files are migrated when opened.
