Pre-release0.20.16, The Phantom Window - BUGFIX
An unclean restart was accidentally giving devices a freeze window larger than their entire known history. A window that wide makes a device practically immune to freeze detection.

Ignoring Ancient History: Integrations like Z-Wave JS publish their own last_seen entities. Those timestamps often predate your Device Sentinel installation by years. If your system suffered an unclean restart, the integration accidentally measured the device's silence against that ancient clock. A sensor from 2023 suddenly banked three years of silence on a system built in 2026. At midnight, the math engine locked in that three-year gap as a normal reporting rhythm. One tester caught this bug hiding on six devices, with the worst offender banking a 1,076-day phantom window.

Setting the Floor: We fixed the math. Banked silence now strictly caps at the second Device Sentinel started watching the device. Legitimate silence earned inside your watch period banks perfectly, just as it always did.
-
Automatic Corrections: You need to do absolutely nothing. If a device is currently carrying a massive phantom window, the database will heal itself. The math engine automatically discards extreme outliers once a device accumulates seven days of normal data.
