v3.3.5 — an update keeps the DTIM Interval you set

  • A firmware update no longer changes the DTIM Interval (field: 3 → 1 after flashing v3.3.4).
    v3.3.4 set wlN_dtim=1 on the first boot that found no /jffs/reaper/.dtim1 marker. The marker
    was new in v3.3.4, so every flash over an earlier Reaper replaced the value the user had chosen.
    reaper_dtim_default() and its call before start_lan() are removed. 1 stays the compiled
    default, which only a router with no value set receives (a new box or a factory reset). The
    build gate now requires the old log line to be ABSENT from sbin/rc.
  • The v3.3.4 prereleases are withdrawn. v3.3.5 is v3.3.4 plus this fix and nothing else. A
    router that already ran v3.3.4 keeps whatever DTIM it has now; one that was reset to 1 shows
    "DTIM interval set to 1 ... (was N)" in the system log - set it again under Wireless > Wireless
    Settings.

Images & checksums (BQ16_PRO)

Two flashable images: + AI Advisor (default) and Standard (noMCP, all AI components compiled out entirely). Flash the *_nand_squashfs.pkgtb via Administration > Firmware Upgrade.

This is a beta release. Its filename carries _BETA and the router reports the same string on the dashboard and the About page, so you can always tell which channel a flashed image came from. Stable releases carry no marker.

The BQ16_PRO image for v3.3.5-beta is built from this repository at tag v3.3.5-beta-BQ16_PRO: the pinned Asuswrt-Merlin base (3006.102.8-beta2, a7ebfa133a) plus the complete patch series. The tag freezes the exact source that produced it.
