Test failure with soon-to-be-released usethis

I'm about to release usethis v3.2.0 and fusen was the only revdep failure found in my checks. I've replicated the failure locally, but I don't really know what's going on yet.

I thought I'd open this issue quickly in case you can troubleshoot faster than I can.

There is nothing user-facing that explains this. In terms of internals, the only recent-ish commit that comes to mind is this one:

r-lib/usethis@6036504

that is aimed at making usethis happier to create projects/packages inside a temp directory. And perhaps that somehow is a change that fusen needs to adjust to? I'm not sure, but that is where I would (will) look first.
