Release list
Three Kingdoms Coop v0.9.1
Bug-fix release of Three Kingdoms Coop for the Windows Steam version of
Total War: THREE KINGDOMS 1.7.2.
Fixes
- Reform tree hover restored. With the mod active, the reform tree no
longer showed which reform the cursor was over. The runtime's widget-lookup
safety check stopped searching large UI trees after 8,192 widgets, so the
game was told the hovered reform did not exist. The limit is removed; the
depth and cycle checks that prevent the original crash remain. - Menus open without the 1–2 second hang. The same check queried Windows
for every widget it searched. These checks are now remembered for the length
of each search, so opening menus is noticeably faster again.
Install
Every participant needs matching runtime and UI pack versions. The UI pack is
unchanged from v0.9.0.
- Close the game and Creative Assembly launcher.
- Run TW3K-Coop-Setup-0.9.1.exe and select the game folder. It upgrades
an existing v0.9.0 installation in place. - Subscribe to tw3k_coop on Steam Workshop
and enable it in the launcher.
The -debug.exe installer is for developer diagnostics. Ordinary players should
use the installer without that suffix.
Validation
CI built both runtime modes and the proxy from the tagged public source, passed
the offline runtime regressions, and passed all four installer fixture suites
across PowerShell 5.1 and 7. The fix was confirmed on the maintainer's machine
in a single-player campaign: reform hover works and menus open faster.
Source is GPL-3.0-only. The source archive, installer build manifests and SHA256
checksums are attached. Report reproducible problems through the repository's
issue tracker.
Three Kingdoms Coop v0.9.0
First experimental release of Three Kingdoms Coop for the Windows Steam version
of Total War: THREE KINGDOMS 1.7.2.
Features
- Cooperative campaigns with up to four players.
- Turn blending for partially simultaneous turns: manage buildings, character
skills, army stances, assignments and court posts during another human player's
turn. Movement, attacks and ending turns retain the normal turn order. - Battle unit lending to allied players.
- Extra-player lobby and event handling fixes, including containment for incident
popups that repeatedly reopened after being closed. - Corrected character artwork bounds in the four-player lobby.
Install
Every participant needs matching runtime and UI pack versions.
- Close the game and Creative Assembly launcher.
- Run TW3K-Coop-Setup-0.9.0.exe and select the game folder.
- Subscribe to tw3k_coop on Steam Workshop
and enable it in the launcher. The Workshop item is currently hidden during
release preparation; your account needs access for Steam to download the pack.
The -debug.exe installer is for developer diagnostics. Ordinary players should
use the installer without that suffix. Both variants include the proxy and
matching runtime; the Workshop download supplies the UI pack.
If Steam verification or an update replaces the proxy, close the game and
launcher and rerun Setup. Remove the DLL component through Windows Apps &
features. Workshop content is managed separately through Steam.
Validation and remaining live checks
Both runtime modes and the proxy build from this tagged public source. CI passed
the offline runtime regressions, including event-read containment in both modes,
and all 564 checks in four installer fixture suites across PowerShell 5.1 and 7. The installer
suites cover install, upgrades, repair, rollback, variant switching, Workshop
detection and uninstall preservation.
The event-closing symptom was reported fixed in a live third-player test.
An installer of this runtime source was tested on the maintainer's machine and
reported to work. This build corrects the release version to v0.9.0; the runtime
source is unchanged from that tested installer.
Full four-seat event-closing coverage and live Steam integrity/repair/uninstall
checks have not been reported. The
live installer checklist
describes the remaining live scenarios.
The event-closing containment uses retained UI state; it does not extend the
game's persisted read/dismiss markers for extra factions. A notification may
appear once again after loading a save. Compatibility with every other mod
combination has not been established.
Source is GPL-3.0-only. The source archive, installer build manifests and SHA256
checksums are attached. Report reproducible problems through the repository's
issue tracker, including versions, player count, steps and logs from participants.
