SpaceJump v0.25.0
Build it your way
- Building rebuilt, ARK-style: walls, floors, roofs and stairs snap into place, with simpler controls and a build wheel for everything else
- New moving parts: big hinges, turntables, long pistons and slider rails that carry whatever you build on them, plus levers and alarm beacons
- Interactive tutorials for every job and system, offered the first time you meet them and replayable from Pause > Tutorials
- Everything now works on a controller, and a controls card sits on the right while you fly (F1 or L3 + Y hides it)
- Photo mode (F9, or R3 + D-down): freeze time, fly a free camera and take shots with depth of field, filters and cinema frames
SpaceJump v0.24.1
- Part 2 wake-up: you can now actually see out of the escape pod - the cabin, Hearth below and the Maw - instead of empty space
- Sit a little higher in the pod's seat for a bigger view of the planet; the floating boxes no longer block the window
- Officer 226's quantum jump now flies around Hearth instead of straight through it
SpaceJump v0.24.0
- New title screen: a cleaner menu over the Earth view, with a short description of each option
- SANDBOX on the main menu: pick Station Walk, Space Flight or Build from one place (no more hidden hotkey)
- SAVED DATA: see every save on your PC with its size and date, clear any of them (or everything) to start fresh, or open the save folder
SpaceJump v0.23.1
- Part 2 wake-up: once the pod stops tumbling, the view now turns to Hearth and then the Maw as HERMES names them, instead of staring at empty space
SpaceJump v0.23.0
- Escape Pod 2 completely remade: much roomier, far more detailed single-seat lifeboat (canopy, couch with harness, three-screen console, cargo locker, life support and more)
- Officer 226 now has a voice, and the missing HERMES Part 2 lines are voiced
SpaceJump v0.22.0
- New Part 2 opening: after the jump, fire your pod's distress beacon and Officer 226 of the Kessler Reach Patrol comes to fetch you
- Ride in 226's jump seat to Kestrel Exchange: look around while he jumps there and flies you into hangar 01
- The impound office pays out for your pod, which just covers your first ship: buy the Wren at the exchange and she's waiting on the pad
- Your first home is now a station out in open space, and the air clock is gone
- Cruise control: C (L3 + D-pad down on a pad) holds your speed until you brake or touch the throttle
- Fixes: the escape pod doorway no longer blocks you during the evacuation, and the Act IV bridge consoles behave. Part 2 saves from before this update start Part 2 again
SpaceJump v0.21.1
- The stair-stepped blocks on the screen are gone (Cinematic clouds)
- No more floating text over machines, robots and objectives: fixed signs instead
- The Earth below turns very slowly
- Pod Alpha interior polish: dressing, prop alignments and lighting clean-up across all station modules
SpaceJump v0.21.0
- A new Moon in Pod Alpha's sky: lit by the sun, phased realistically, with crater relief, earthshine, and Blood Moon eclipse umbra
- Framed for viewing: positioned right in the Pod Alpha viewport and Command Deck panoramic windows
- Living Earth from orbit: dual-lobe moving ocean sunglint path with surface chop
- High-latitude auroras: smooth polar auroral oval ribbons on the night side
- Convective storms: rapid multi-stroke lightning discharges in dense cloud tops
- Mesospheric airglow: emerald and gold chemiluminescent ribbon hugging the planetary limb
SpaceJump v0.20.1
- Doors work again: wall pieces with windows were blocking every doorway
- Much better frame rate around the station (far fewer shadow draws; rooms behind walls are no longer drawn)
- Fixed the stepped blocks stuck on screen (sun shadows)
- Fixed flickering surfaces on the refinery roof, the lift and some doorways
- EVA suit rack: the helmet now fits under the canopy
- HERMES' orb hangs under its projector again
- The hangar now uses Kestrel's landing pad
- Reactor hall: the coolant pipes now connect to the tanks and pumps
SpaceJump v0.20.0
- Pod Alpha rebuilt: every room of the starting station remade at full detail - lined walls, pipes, cable runs, lived-in clutter, flickering lights, steam and sparks
- New voice acting: HERMES, 47 and the cast re-voiced throughout the story
- Survival mode: choose Creative or Survival for a new game. In Survival, building costs materials and removing a piece gives them back
- Materials inventory (I), plus a refinery and fabricator for your station: smelt ore into bars, then make plates, frames, wiring and circuits
- Contracts boards at Kestrel, Tallow and Meridian: hauling runs, mining quotas, supply drops to your own station and drone bounties
- New planet terrain: mountain ranges, eroded valleys, river beds, canyons and proper coastlines on every planet
