Abstract

This plugin adds a winter atmosphere to your server by making players gradually freeze unless they remain within the range of configured heat sources.

Configuration

enable — Boolean

Controls whether the plugin is currently active.
It is recommended to toggle this only via in-game commands.

frost.criticalFreezingTicks — Integer (+)

The number of ticks required for the freezing overlay to reach its maximum.
You can recognise the maximum freezing state when the player’s hearts turn blue/frosty.

frost.playerRadius — Double (+)

The radius in which the player scans for nearby heat sources.

frost.interpolationFunction — String (smoothstep, smootherstep, linear)

Controls how quickly or slowly the player’s temperature changes over time.

frost.playerBurningBoost — Integer (0–100)

This percentage is added to the warming value of the configured FIRE heat source.
If no FIRE value is configured, burning provides a constant warming value of 1× per tick, plus this boost percentage.

frost.playerPowderSnowBoost — Integer (0–100)

Freezing speed increases based on how deep the player is inside powder snow:

  • Standing in 1 block → base 22.5% extra freezing, then this boost percentage applies.
  • Standing in 2 blocks (head inside) → base 50% faster freezing, then this boost percentage applies.

frost.isolation.maxPossibleIsolation — Integer (0–100)

Defines how much of the freezing effect can be mitigated through isolation.

frost.isolation.armourPieces — List

A mapping of armour and wearable items to custom isolation values.
value — Integer (0–100)

frost.heatSources — List

A list of blocks registered as heat sources, each with a custom radius and value describing its heating strength.
radius — Double (+)
value — Double (+)
