simPl 0.1.3

simPl Reader 0.1.3 for Windows x64.

PDF Book now keeps more of the source page's typography and layout: relative heading size, bold and italic text, centered and right-aligned blocks, indented text, Contents rows with right-aligned page numbers, internal links, and printed Roman or Arabic page labels. Illustrations are cropped and placed more accurately. Complex tables use the original page image inside Book mode.

Large PDF books open and scroll more smoothly through estimated pagination, visible-page layout updates, and loading feedback. This release also adds Ctrl+wheel and touchpad-pinch zoom, plus improved placement of Windows-style window controls.

The first Book opening after updating rebuilds its versioned PDF cache.

Offline dictionaries — 2026-09-30

Optional offline word dictionary packages for simPl, data version 2026-09-30.

Choose individual language directions in Settings → Word translation → Manage dictionaries. Each ZIP is independently downloadable; after installation word lookup works offline. Download progress, cancel/retry, removal and Import ZIP are supported. The application embeds only a small catalog and verifies exact package sizes and SHA-256 checksums before installation.

13 directions: English ↔ Turkish, Spanish, German, French, Japanese and Chinese; Korean → English. All packages total 19.77 MB. Selected text and document content are never sent to the download host.

Manual offline installation: download a ZIP below, then choose Import ZIP in Settings. A matching simPl build with the 2026-09-30 catalog is required. These ZIPs are data; they are not executable plugins or sentence translation models.

Each ZIP includes the adapted TSV index, source manifest, full attribution and CC BY-SA 4.0 license. Sources: WikDict/Wiktionary/DBnary, Kaikki/Wiktextract/English Wiktionary and CC-CEDICT/MDBG. See README.md and manifest.json assets for snapshots and source checksums. The builders are in scripts/ at this release's source tag.

This separate prerelease hosts immutable dictionary data. It does not replace the latest application release. Do not replace these assets with different bytes; publish a new data version and corresponding application catalog instead.

• Official releases are free for personal and professional use. See the terms in LICENSE.txt, which Setup shows before installing.
