This PR constitutes the few small steps to wrap a new release notably
The last step updates a number of files making the PR look bigger than it is. Otherwise, we were apparently caught by change in the Azure Pipelines setup for Linux which fell back to the almost one-year old and soon even more outdated 3.6.* release which required some small tweaks to two test files.
