1609, September 12 - Lenape canoes approach anchored Half Moon 2 leagues up the Hudson

We should be able to recreate 11:00am on September 12, 1609, when Henry Hudson's boat anchored about 2 leagues" up the Hudson (to confirm), the local residents -- a group of (presumably) Lenape people came out in "28 canoes" per Robert Juet's 1625 Journal. The canoes "left by noon". See spell-corrected excerpt below.

The twelfth, very fair and hot. In the after-noon at two of the clock we weighed, the wind being variable, between the North and the North-west. So we turned into the River two leagues and Anchored. This morning at our first rode in the River, there came eight and twenty canoes full of men, women, and children to betray us; but we saw their intent, and suffered none of them to come aboard of us. At twelve of the clock they departed. They brought with them Oysters and Beanes, whereof we bought some. They have great Tabacco pipes of yellow Copper, and Pots of Earth to dresse their meat in. It floweth South-east by South within.
