@TitasDas TitasDas released this 17 Aug 10:52
  • The layout finally fits your screen: drag the divider between the article list and the reader to rebalance them, double-click it to reset
  • Pick how wide the reading column runs: Narrow, Medium, Wide, or Full, next to the text-size buttons
  • Zoom without reaching for the mouse: - and = step the text size, 0 resets, and Ctrl+scroll or a trackpad pinch over the article works too
  • Sources are easier to manage: the add box sits at the top, drag a source to reorder the list, hover one for a one-click unsubscribe
  • On the phone the reader actions moved into a bottom bar within thumb reach, and the filter chips ride on the list itself

Assets:

  • readstand-0.1.4.zip: the Chrome/Edge extension (Manifest V3), the same package to upload to the store
  • readstand-0.1.4-firefox.zip: the Firefox build

  • Reader mode is now the default: opening an article pulls in the full text on its own, no button to press
  • When a page hands over only a teaser (paywalls, bot walls), Readstand falls back to a public archive copy and says so
  • Clicking the toolbar icon opens Readstand on the article you were reading, without pulling you off one you already started
  • Feed and article HTML is sanitized before it touches the DOM, and the optional proxy got stricter about what it will fetch (folds in the unreleased 0.1.2 security work)

Assets:

  • readstand-0.1.3.zip: the Chrome/Edge extension (Manifest V3)
  • readstand-0.1.3-firefox.zip: the Firefox build

  • New icon: a bolder R with a bookmark ribbon

Assets:

  • readstand-0.1.1.zip: the Chrome/Edge extension (Manifest V3)
