OpenSeer 0.1.0 — first macOS GUI preview
Pre-release
Pre-release
First public preview of the macOS GUI for OpenSeer.
Install
- Download
OpenSeer-0.1.0.dmgbelow - Open the DMG, drag OpenSeer.app to
/Applications - First launch is blocked by Gatekeeper (ad-hoc signed, no Apple Developer ID). Right-click the .app and choose Open, OR run once:
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/OpenSeer.app - The setup wizard walks through provider login + macOS permissions. You still need:
- Codex CLI for OpenAI:
npm install -g @openai/codex - Claude CLI for Anthropic:
npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code - These run their own browser OAuth — OpenSeer reuses the tokens they store.
- Codex CLI for OpenAI:
What's in the bundle
- Self-contained: bundles Python 3.12.8 + the
openseerpackage + dependencies (~73 MB unpacked) - SwiftUI GUI: setup wizard, three-pane chat with sidebar / session list / detail
- Telegram daemon Start/Stop with
/stopslash command for cooperative cancel - Conversational
terminate(status="answer")so greetings stop spawning fake desktop work - Settings sheet for SOUL.md / MEMORY.md / Telegram bot config
Known limitations
- arm64 only. No Intel build yet.
- Ad-hoc signed; Apple Developer ID + notarization is on the to-do list.
- Every rebuild produces a new ad-hoc signature, which TCC treats as a different app — if you upgrade builds, remove OpenSeer from System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility / Screen Recording, then re-grant.
- macOS 14+ required.
