This project as a whole (library + HA integration) provides a practical control and monitoring model for the majority of the TROVIS functions.
It is intended for automatic device discovery, operational monitoring, and occasional fine adjustment of already commissioned heating systems.
It does not attempt to reproduce every single controller menu, parameter level, special function, register or coil (there are thousands of them). It is also not meant as initial commissioning tool for new heating systems; for this, please use SAMSON's TrovisView Windows application instead (you can download it for free from the SAMSON Web page).
| Page | Contents |
|---|---|
| Architecture and scope | Responsibilities, transport separation, package structure, and source hierarchy |
| Controller profiles and hydronic model | Supported models, probing, system code numbers, Rk roles, subsystems, and sensor variants |
| Datapoints, reading, and writing | Catalog metadata, grouped polling, invalid values, write access, operating modes, date/time values, and derived values |
| Usage and examples | Installation, connection examples, probing, reading, writing, diagnostics, and the command-line query tool |
| Development and contributions | Local setup, tests, branch structure, contribution workflow, CI, and releases |
| Current limits and planned work | Deliberately deferred topics and ownership boundaries |
- Application developers should begin with Usage and examples.
- Contributors should read Architecture and scope and Development and contributions.
- Integrations that create entities or user interfaces should also read Datapoints, reading, and writing, especially the metadata and write-safety sections.
