v0.16.2
What's new
Adds a syncEnabled config flag that blocks sync on hosts that share dataDir (e.g. via iCloud) but do not hold the attachment files.
Why it matters
When two machines share dataDir and only one holds the original PDF/EPUB/HTML files, running sync on the other machine marks every attachment as missing, drops the keyword FTS5 table, and rebuilds it empty — wiping the shared index on both machines. The new guard prevents that.
How to use
On the read-only host, add to ~/.zotagent/config.json:
"syncEnabled": false(or export ZOTAGENT_SYNC_ENABLED=false). sync on that host now fails fast with:
{ "ok": false, "error": { "code": "SYNC_DISABLED", ... } }before touching any state. All read commands (search, read, expand, fulltext, metadata) keep working normally. On the host that owns the files, leave syncEnabled unset — default behavior is unchanged.
