Billy is a Gemini assistant for Pebble watches. Ask by voice; Billy answers with short text and Pebble-style cards, and with the Android companion it can act on your phone and Google account.

Install

  • Watch app (iPhone or Android): open Billy-0.5.pbw on your phone and install it with the Pebble app, then paste your Gemini API key (from https://aistudio.google.com/app/apikey) in Billy's settings.
  • Billy Companion (Android, optional): install BillyCompanion-0.5.apk and follow the four setup steps in the app. It installs over earlier Billy Companion builds.

What's new in 0.5

  • More watches: Pebble Time, Time Steel, Time Round, Pebble 2, Pebble 2 Duo and Pebble Round 2, as well as Pebble Time 2, including layouts for round screens.
  • Your own Gemini account (experimental): link it in Billy Companion to find photos in your Google Photos library and use what Gemini knows about you. If it stops working, Billy uses its normal tools.
  • Read before you send: texts, replies and emails can be read in full on the watch before you confirm.
  • More reliable: answers can't get lost or land in the wrong chat, a repeated message can't run an action twice, and reminders only say "set" once Pebble's timeline confirms them.
  • Phone-only mode starts even when Pebble's timeline sign-in fails.

Notes

  • You pay Google for your own Gemini usage; Billy has no server.
  • The Android app is signed with the same key as earlier test builds, so Google sign-in keeps working.
